This is something I posted on the Test boards. It needs serious attention.

Ok, let me get this straight. Now, in order to get my entertainer force sensitive abilities, I am now required to drop an entire mastery (dance, musician or entertainer), to grind up to master medic to do the force sensitive quest for healing. Then, I must drop master medic, and regain whichever entertainer mastery that I had to drop in order to use these force sensitive abilities. Is that correct?

Edited: someone on the musician boards said that this particular medic quest is not the same as to unlock force healing. I guess that's not so bad. However, it's still sucky that either way, if I or someone else wanted to become force sensitive and unlock our healing branch, we're going to have to drop some skills, which I'm not to keen about. Having to drop 4 points for 4 levels of force healing is way different from having to drop 15 and then regain them.

There was little to no thought put into the path to force sensitive skills nor the enhancements they provide for the entertainer classes.

You will have to be either a Medic, Artisan, or Combatant at the required levels for which ever one you choose to get your Ent Healing Bonuses. Yes.

You have to quest. We have no quest. Scouts have no quest. Pols have no quest.

You must be Artisan, Medic, or Combatant and do one of those three Quest Line options to get any FS Boxes unlocked. Then you must turn in the correct XP. Dance and EH XP can be converted for the Heightened Senses tree (where our bonuses are).

Do you have to do specific quests to unlock a specific branch? For example, could one use combat skills to do a quest which unlocks the line that gives you the force sensitive entertainer skills? Or do you have to specifically use the novice medic quest in order to unlock the FS Ent skills?

Not true... they are in line with the Medic Bonuses. There was thought. They are just not particularly useful in actual game terms. On paper they fit fine though.

I personally pitched a fit for these so we would have a leg to stand on for any additional content (like the fs quests) thatcame along. NewJedi also took it up as a major issue.

I have to say, I really don't think this attitude towards the Devs is very useful to our cause. We can tell the Devs they are not seeing things from a player's perspective, we can tell them they are giving us something "not fun" and should change it, we can claim rights to certain content based on our subscription fees as customers, we can even down right tell them they are wrong... but it is not rational to act like they are out to get us or are intentionally trying to alienate a segment of the playerbase.

I've already fought this battle about the quests in the Corre Forum and gotten two responses. If you don't like our lack of opportunity in the Village as an Ent, I suggest you get out into the In Testing threads and let it be known. You can also mail SOE and I suggest you do. I'd like for us to be a more vocal segment of the playerbase... just don't personally attack the Devs. That's not a very good way to win people over to your cause.

Drygo - You can do which ever quest line you choose, it's the XP conversion that is specific to the tree. At least, this is how it was at my last testing.

Edit: uh, grammer is hard... doh!

Yeah, I've resigned myself to chilling the **edit** out on this after I read this post, Panthu. Sorry if what I've been saying lately sounds like Dev hate, but well, they've given me very little to love about them in recent memory

If you don't like our lack of opportunity in the Village as an Ent, I suggest you get out into the In Testing threads and let it be known.

Be aware, if you do this, you'll get flamed mercilessly, told Entertainers don't deserve Jedis, get out of the cantina and actually play the game, Jedis are combat and it doesn't make sense for an Entertainer to have one (though an Entertainer alt makes sense to a combat player...) and the like. Then, you will probably be told by someone to take it to your respective professions' forum and get out of the Testing forums. And you're right back where you started. Just a heads up. We do have support from some players in how we got shafted, but as always, we have a lot of animosity and hate directed towards us getting things in this game - the "everyone else is more important than you" mindset in this game is disturbing. Funny how unimportant we are, until people need Battle Fatigue healing and Mind buffs...

My suggestion to everyone is get something cold to drink, sit down, strap yourself in, and get ready - this is all going to be one HELLUVA ride. I can't WAIT to see the chaos that erupts from this Jedi system, and people's reactions. Get some popcorn and make it an event. Start a drinking game - see how many posts get 1-starred in the Development/Testing forums, and take a shot for each.

The Entertainers' game won't improve, but at least we can laugh at the people who are fortunate enough in this game to get a fair shot at Jedi, new content, new challenges and places to go,but still aren't satisfied.

Quite frankly, who cares? It's not like our FS healing is of any value, a master already heals so fast most people are amazed by it. So we have no quest to get something of no value, big woop!

sort of my thought as well... I mean if it was Mind Enhancement then there would be quite a few of us looking to do these. But buffing already puts stuff in this game out of whack. Now BF healing would be a good option. Not useless. But also not sooo good that everyone would end up doing it.
