Ahh...I remember back then..Working my way up the commando profession when I used my first holo..being a lil afraid about what it might say..so I delayed and delayed..and delayed
I wanted to use it...and I didn't want to lol
But I finnally did....and I stared at the screen for like 5 minutes while my guild prodded me for the answer
I was like
DANCER?!?!?! I dun wanna dance (btw ..second holo said entertainer..so I was there even longer)
I was mad..why me? this is horrible..anything but that
But at the time I badly wanted jedi...so me and my flamethrower reluctantly went to the cantina and strated the grind...
I think it was..my third orfourth day in the cantina that everythung changed..
I had taken group leadership many times and kept the ent group full and moving until server downtime a couple times and talked to some nice people
And then of course there was Panthu..who made my time in the cantina not only less of a torture..but made it fun..Panthu has to be the nicest person I have met in this game or any other.
Panthu is the main reason I still to this day have an entertainer character (Shadowfire, Nalu Ssivi, master ent, musician, dancer, ID with new patch)
If you read this Panthu...thank you..your my hero =o)

This post reminded me of the day I opened my holiday holocron. I was dancing in the cantina, trying very hard not to fall on my ass and listening to people complain about how they were going to have to "grind" some profession they didn't like. A friend of mine came in and was asking me what my holo had said. I explained that I hadn't opened it because I wasn't interested in becoming a Jedi. We talked a little more about it and finally the curiosity got to me so I opened it.... and low and behold it said I should become a Dancer
I laughed for weeks everytime someone asked me what it had said because they inevitable said "but you like doing that!" Those days of trying to make awkward dance moves look natural are a distant memory but I have to say that was a very happy time for me on Shadowfire and I wouldn't trade them for all the credits in the Galaxy.
A big /hug to all those entertainers that make this profession so much fun.
cheers,

Lol, memories, I got Chef as the holo... on THREE different chars... Which instantly was the end of any idea I had of being Jedi ( not that there really was much before hand )... The irony is that I know have two master chefs alongside my multitude of entertainers.

Yeah in the holo days were kinda fun in their own way, had a bunch of people stuck in the cantina when they didn't wanna be there. Random duels breaking out between people who got a holo that said dancer/entertainer/musician. Cantina was always full (even if most were afk)
The full cantinas always made it feel more like star wars

When I opened my holo it said . . . musician. I was already a master dancer and Roho was musician enough for me. I gave my second holo to a new member of our former (first) guild since I wasn't going to Jedi anyway.
I'm not sure if Roho ever opened his holo or not.

I was so upset when it disappeared after I opened it *pout* I had intended to use it as a decoration and felt like I'd been tricked when it went away. When I got a second one for completing the "quest" on Dantooine I was very upset to find I couldn't put it down inside my house. I even sent a /bug report to try to get them to make it droppable for those who didn't want to do the "grind". Ah well. Live and learn.

My boyfriend went and did cross server trades to get a bunch of holo's for decorations at my cantina. We actually used them as wall lighting, and I had enough left over to do the Jedi thing if I decided I wanted to.
I only used two. First one was Artisan when I was already a Master Dancer, Master Tailor, so I decided what the heck, and added Master Artisan. Next was Carbineer, and well, I had been a Carbineer previously, and decided that maybe I should go finish what I started. I never did find out what any of the others were.
It was just sad house burned down during my absence that all my cantina decorations went with it. 16 Blue Holocrons and 2 Sith Holocrons destroyed, along with all the 9 Ship Paintings, and almost every other painting we had gotten on Kett so far. Bummed me out majorly to find that out, but a guildmate is slowly building me a new painting collection!
