Thread: Poll: Top Five List of Small Changes to Encourage Performance
These would all be helpful Panthu. My top 5 of these in order of importance would be :
#1: Group changedance startdance stopdance. I have longed for this for-ev-er.
#2: System Payment (of any sort, including new/better missions or repeatable quests)
#3: Meta Group. 8 person group sis too small to do anything really fun or interesting
#4: Use any flourish with any base dance. I have insanely elaborate /changedance /flo macros to allow me this, and its always kinda cobbled together and sketchy looking, but its the only way I can have the 'choreography' I want.
#5: Group xp for bandflo. All my xp is maxed out everywhere, and I don't go to the village, but I would love to be able to use bandflos without depriving the dancers who desperately need the xp.
2) Group Change Dance, Start Dance, Stop Dance - We asked for this during beta. Instead of this change they made a turn away from encouraging group performance and instead moved to making the entertainer game more of a solo experience.
3) Access to all flo anims - I have always wanted a system where we had flourishes that were more like the attacks you get in the combat professions. The dances would be more like weapons. That way the dances could all be learned in the lower skill boxes and the flourishes would be added in the advanced boxes. It would also let us craft more original looking dances as we could mix and match the styles easier.
4) Group Tech Effects - See #2
5) System Payment for Dancing in Cantinas, Hotels, and Theaters - Active Sign In - I have been a long time supporter of a cantina salary system where the venue pays the entertainer rather than busking for handouts. This way the venue could more closely be tied to payout and would send entertainers and people looking for them to more diverse locations than just one or two cantinas on each sever. This could also tie into the Politician entertainer city and player city venues.
6) Alternate: Dancer Meta Group - I truly hate this idea. No offense but I'd rather see them add in an /entertainergroup that having the novice enttertainer skill could make you able to join. Set this group size at 20+.

your top 5 accurately reflect my top 5.
additional fun stuff in no particular order
1. dance floor navigation (perhaps given in the dead flourishes- exotic flo 5 = 2 steps left , flo 6= 2 steps fwd, ect)
2. /sysgroup command at tech 4 (is it still choreographer title?)
3. Formation commands in the tech line (/vformation /boxformation /<3formation,ect)
I wrote a post in the PA & Groups forum about mass bandflos for performances such as the cantina crawls. It specifies some of the things I'd like to see for group flo's and such from my epxerinces leading CCs. Please take a look!

The only other thing I would say is, for the Love of Palpatine... I am tired of having someone tell me I collided with them (on their view) when according to my client I am all the way across the room. There has GOT to be some way to deal with this.

Okay, I'm bored, so I decided to re-type your idea and add my own ideas to it. Still your idea! I just think they could be extended to effect more then just the entertainers.

This would encourage me to get my heiney to the cantina to interact with other players rather than stay home unless there is a specific event to go to. Right now playing music and having players "take" buffs and then slink out makes me feel like an NPC.
I really like the exp during bandflourish idea. It would be nice if this could be worked properly, at least so that there is no added advantage to doing this than just AFKing.
i.e., exp *every* time, no, but exp once per tick, if a bandflo is running? That works.
I also would like group effects. A larger dance/music group. And easier ways to combine the dances/flourishes.
(Although I will be the first to admit, I am locking myself in a large room when pub20 goes live, and not coming out until I have a fully detailed dance card, flourish timer, and at least one routine under way.
