I know we have one on Intrepid called "NoAFK." We have about twenty who have popped in and out on occasion.

Heyas Caly *snugglesbear hug to ya*. Yeah, its been down the past couple weeks. I'll get it up again whenever I'm on. Just need to spread the word to other entertainers out there about setting up a channel if one isn't up already. Also, now is a great time to get it back up, seems like the cantinas are sort of dying out from the hologrinders in places like Theed. Maybe its a sign that the revival of entertainers of old come back? Keep the hope alive..hehe. Okies, btw, nice pic of you, you know what I mean .

(yep it's really me too, the only pic I've ever liked... think I can use that till I'm 80?... hmm wonder if I'll still be playing /giggle) anyway yes I see a definite change starting in the cantina's or somewhat... danced in kaadara tonight by myself but I had an almost constant stream of patrons and everyone was pleasant, positive and talkative (hooray)

Ok done babbling for now.. yes let's get that Flurry entertainers channel up.. One suggestion.. make the "short name something simple". When we made a guild channel for guild and others we usually called it

Dawn Friends and DF for short so that folks only had to type /df to talk in it

I've been meaning to try and get a chat channel on Kettemoor. I've created it twice but never told anyone about it.

The name I used was "GEN" for Galactic Entertainers Network.

Might I suggest we pick a standard location and name for the chat room across all servers so that any entertainer can find it easily no matter which server they are on, and people will come to expect it to be there, much like we have come to expect entertainers to be at places like Theed, Coronet, Anchorhead etc.

SWG.Server.Chat.Ent

How to create it:

1. Right click a chat tab. (I use spatial myself, but any tab is fine)

2. Select "Modify Tab"

3. Below the "Available Channels" list is a button named "Join Channels". Push it

4. You should see some buttons and a list with the name of your server at the top. Below it is a list of planet foldersand a few general folders. The "Chat" folder should be first on the list. Select it.

5. Now push the "Create Channel" button.

6. Now under "Room Name" type "Ent"

7. Under "Chatroom Title" Type something descriptive, eg "The Entertainment Channel"

8. ***Important*** Make sure that the "Private Chatroom" check box is NOT checked. (people won't see it otherwise)

9. Hit "Ok"

You should now have a chatroom in the "Chat" folder. If you click on the chatroom and scroll down you can see a list of the people in the chatroom as well as a few other important bits of info.

10. Click "Done"

11. You should now see "Ent" listed in "Available Channels" Select it and push the >> next to the list to move it into the "Tab Channel" list.

12. Hit "Ok" and you're done

How to join up if it's already there:

Repeat steps 1 to 4 from above.

5. Find and select the "Ent - (description, eg The Entertainment Channel)" channelunder the "Chat" folder. Click the "Join" button.

Now Repeat steps 10 to 12 from above.

How to create an Alias to make chatting in a channel easier:

If there is such a channel for Ahazi or one for the entire galaxy, please, i would love to know what the channel is called

We use this on Bria as well. Have to get the word out to all the Ents. Get in the habit of joining the Ent channel when ever you log in. If its not there create it. I wish there were a way of making it a permanent channel....hint...hint...Any devs out there.....what amI saying this is the Dancers forum....they wouldn't be here. (sorry Lei has become cynical of late. She needs a night out on the town )

To further simplify things a bit, I usually just type '/chat join ent' right when I log in. This somehow directs me to the right channel, not sure exactly how. This can of course be places in a macro or alias to even further simplify it.

Once inside, simply typing '/ent' directs my text to the channel.
