Hi, I'm not a Dancer, although I once tried my hand at it. It was not for me.
Anyway... nowadays I see almost all Dancers have got a weapon of some kind equipped. This supposedly keeps them from falling. I can certainly see the attraction in that, but I'm sure you would agree that dancing with a massive battle axe or rifle looks rather silly and not at all entrancing.
That's why I would make a case for getting rid of this situation, and I would urge the devs to fix this.

Thewt this argument has been tossed back and forth with good and valid reasons on both sides of the issue. There is always a chance you will fall whenever you perform a flo while performing your highest level dance. Untill the percentage to fall is decreased somewhat you will see many dancers brandishing weapons. Geez and people don't think dancing is dangerous.

I tried dancing with a weapon once. Stabbed myself in the shoulder. Man, that hurt. Had to spend a week in the medical center.

What revamp? You mean adding a few songs and dances and putting in the Hutt Casino? That's not a revamp, it's content. Why do people think we're getting a revamp? I'm so confused.

Granted, it does look a bit silly to be dancing with a T-21 or some such huge weapon. However, there are some weapons that look good depending on the dance used. A Rykk blade or curved sword looks great with the exotic dances, for example.
When I dance, I use a gafferiti (sp?) stick while doing Poplock 2. My primary costume is based around a Tusken Raider robe, so the effect comes off great.

I use a curved sword to do exotic, and a reinforced combat staff to do lyrical. The latter requires plenty of room though, lest I poke someone's eye out with the staff!

I've had to stick with a good old dagger - I tried a vibroknuckler for a while but I kept falling over, another bug perhaps?

I use a stone-knife myself, small and dark.. Kinda like my character
.
I used to do rutines with a white female Bothan named Kalley, both of us doing exotic 2. Me being black furred, I used a reinforced staff, her being white furred, she used a wood one. The look was outstanding to say the least

I've been using a survival knife because it's the smallest thing I have, I want to change to spraystick as soon as I can get my paws on one.
I've noticed lately on TC that I've been falling even with a weapon equipped though. Anyone else seen this, or is it just my imagination?
