Just finished the FAQs and most the stickies, since I have oficially gone for Grand Master on Luc'ina -just need those last boxes in music-
{she is my secondary, not alt, she is her own account
}
{she is my secondary, not alt, she is her own account
I have two questions , and incase I missed the posted answers for 'em, feel free to poke prod and direct me where to go
Effects,
I read in FAQs under 'handy dancer commands' a fair list of them, by far more then what shows in my skills window.
Is there a current list of them all ? {as the list carries those Rabenschwinge found helpful and not all of them}

Changing Dance,
I am unclear still ifyou need to use a /changed command or if you may just /startd a new dance to switch dance styles while already dancing

Sure I will come up with some more as I go. but these are my top two for now.
I type horridly so most all I do would be bound to keys, my mouse, or in macro form..so if anyone has any pointers tell me !

hm... I wrote this before the inspiration changes, so it is not included there...
Good you point me to it.
I did not leave any command actually out, just didn't mention paramters that do not make much sense. For example, a master dancer won't need /spotlight 1 or /spotlight 2, since those look like nerfed versions of /spotlight 3. So you simply do /spotlight and always get the best you have.
Same with /colorlights (/colorlight 1 and /colorlights 2 look like nerfed forms of 3) and /dazzle 2 (while /dazzle 1 doesn't /dazzle 2 looks like a nerfed 3).
Well, about /changedance... Yes, exactly... erm...
Do you like suprises? Try the following:
While dancing exotic2 type "/changed exotic4" but do not hit Enter. Perform flourish 7 and then hit enter.

For the effects, I do understand the 'best you have' but I am odd in the fact I LOVE EFFECTS!
I look forward to useing them all, and not just the top skill ones
{stay at home mom , 4yr old boy, he likes the effects too
}
I so look forward to working out full macros for entire dances {doing music atm drilling flos into my head so I can do songs}
EDIT: so for effects, basically they are 1 2 3 for each teir you are higher then where you earned it til master correct?
or does this apply to only some of them?

Well, the problem is that you can't put them all on a toolbar...
Currently I have two dancing toolbars:
The eight normal flourishes on the first and the eight bandflourishes on the second.
Otherwise they are equal: /smokebomb 1 - 3, /distract 1 - 3, /spotlight 3, /colorlights 3, /dazzle 1 + 3, /colorswirl, /centerstage, /floorlights, /register
PS: It is correct that there are always three different of them.

I'm pretty sure that you can't change your dance while dancing by doing /startdance. I think it says something like "you can't start dance while skill animating."
The "dazzle 1" etc commands are a good idea because sometimes you level up and scratch your head and say "I could have sworn that effect was different yesterday, and I liked it!" Experiment with the effects you like.
And while you're at it, don't forget your holoemotes. I have a simple macro that does 20 of my favorite holoemotes and then sends me a tell at the end that says "recharge your holoemotes!" It looks nice and 20 holoemotes can last a surprisingly long time considering the recharge time between them. I have mine on a 90 second delay so that one macro lasts 30 mins.
