Thread: Dancer gatherings?
We seem to have a bit of a tight community here on the forums and I was wondering if the folks here would be interested in perhaps once a week for maybe an hour choosing a different server and location, and descending on it. Mosts of us would be creating new characters and doing the newbie funky chicken dance, but the experienced dancers on that server could play host for us, maybe get us some decent clothing, scrounge up some drinks...and we'd get to meet some of the people on this forum 'in person', so to speak.
The venues could be player cities, NPC cantinas, whatever.
Good idea? Bad idea?

I've done this on occasion when things are slow on my usual server or I need a break. I'm not really a roleplayer, but I had a blast making up these crazy stories when Chessack would ask my character questions I hadn't given ANY thought to, or explaining why the Footloose dance is so spastic looking. I've also got an entertainer character on Kettemoor, and I very occasionally play in Tiaga's cantina because I love the decor.
Unfortunately, my play time is limited compared to what it used to be, so I don't visit as often as maybe I should.

I would love to host a gathering of Entertainers on Kauri and would love to go visit another server as well.
I have been dancing since i started playing way back when, droped it twice and have now decided to keep it and go for master dancer along with master smuggler, wich is another very social profesion.
New Unity is the name of the City. It is located on Naboo just NW of Theed. Theed will most likely be blocked as a starter city however so just start somewhere on Naboo and use your Starting credits to get a ride to New Unity. Lots of friendly people around there to help out.

You're evil. Now I'll be going over in my head who I see there occasionally, trying to figure out who you are. The problem with that is that describes a lot of people. 
And thanks, glad to know I didn't spend all that time putting pu all those stinky fish just for my own amusement. Though admittedly the force crystals get better reactions out of the people.(Except the mon cal who look around nervously and wonder if they are distantly related to any of those fish.) I think people are convinced I'm rich becuase I use force crystals for decoration.

My character is ared haired human musician (female of course)... last time I saw you you told me about the /note command. I usually drop in during the day though

Oh darn, would have loved to make that one. We'd be more than happy to sponser one of these too, maybe after the holidays tho, when our whole crew is present.

Seriously though.. I remember making that comment but can't remember to who.. I honestly can't remember everyone who plays there (And I've been lazy about turning /log on) But I'll keep tossing it around in my brain. In the mean time, I can make the claim that people come from other galaxies to go to my cantina. (You aren't even the only one.)
For a gathering though.. How about instead of one, have many? All on different servers.. The natives of that server could host it, maybe with an image designer and tailor offering free service to attendees. (Not that I need ID myself. Tiaga is stock look, and I've created him on so many different servers now it takes me all of about 30 seconds to get through character creation and get the look right.) I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to host that. We could even have it listed on the server's events page to get the word out.
