Thread: With the changes... what about Twi'leki Species Traits?

Given that Dancer/Musician wound healing is no more and battle fatigue is going away, will Twi'lek be getting new, useful species bonuses? I'm not one, but it only seems fair that they should.

Perhasp they will give them a bonus to Insperation speed or a Dancer/Musician Knowalge bonus that lets them use instrememts sooner then others?

Since instruments are certifications and not skill mods, I don't think that would quite work...but I hope that this is something that is taken into account when our changes go through. As it is, the 100 health below the norm is a tough thing to work around for a non-80, so any reason to make me feel as a Twi'lek, I did have some extra special junk in the proverbial trunk would be great.

Also, now that I think about it, species specific instruments. That would be very cool.

Rather than just point out that something needs to fill that gap, I'd prefer to give them a list of potential gap-fillers. Considering that my one Twi'lek character is a riflewoman and only has novice entertainer so she can dance at parties, I'll present whatever ideas you guys suggest here.

So that makes me wonder.. what dose Dancer and Musician Knowlage DO?

Nothing really... yet. We had asked that we be given scaling mission payouts based on these stats in the past*. Now that it will be our only skill type... ?


Anyway, I tried to read up on Twi'lek stats in other games. It seems like a lot of people think Twi'leks should be the high agility/dex race (I did), but that's not how it's done in the Star Wars RPG either. In it, Twi'leks have high charisma and can see in the dark... low wisdom and lower str/dex than humans.


It might be nice to have a merchant bonus since that's what the race is known for other than dancing and being slaves. Maybe a nod to smuggler would be nice too.


I personally think a Twi only dance would kick butt or extra twi only flos for each dance... might get on non-Twi dancers nerves though.

Then levelers wouldn't feel the need to always dance their "highest" dance and more people could sync dance while still working on the knowledge boxes.

That would be a really great thing!! I Don't know now many times, while I was leveling, I wished I could do a lower dance that had less drift.. Uf they did that it would be such an improvement to Danceing and Musicianship.

Well, we do get 10% extra action regen over average, but if you look at the total point values that the species have, they are far from equal (although of course, Wookiees should understandably get higher total points). I'd love to see something resembling the persuasion FS tree or at the least, working and useful entertainer mods added for us lekku'd ones.

And of course I agree completely that xp gain should be related to knowledge skill as opposed to song/dance being used.

I'mrecently gotDancing Knowledge i, and Tumble gives way more exp then Popular2... I very much agree that this is correct, because it's much harder to flip around then to justget down and have fun, heh. But then, I'd REALLY like to dance Formal again too, I love the idea about changing exp gain to this, but certain dances should still give more/less exp each. For example, basic give less then basic2, (I use basic asa "fealing the music but not dancing" dance, oran "I'm bored and can't hold still"mood, thing.)and Formal give more then Popular (because you're spinning and going all out, as opposed to just merely doing highkicks and wiggling.) But then Basic2 would give the same as Popular2, because they both seem to use the same amount of energy, justone is disco-ish the other is, I dunno what to call it.


Then again this could be a bad thing to have AFKers slamming all over the place instead of sticking to their corners... Not many AFKersseem to mind constantly bumping, whapping, or on occasion kicking me while they're flipping around, /whimper

The reason you get more xp for Tumble than for Popular2 is a mistake that was made when Tumble, Tumble2, Breakdance and Breakdance2 were propped to Live. I've reported it in our Bugs & Issues thread but I'm certainly not going to push that it be fixed considering how hard it is to gain xp at this time. They are reviewing our xp gain and I've been given indications that they will be adjusting it to a more practical level. I'm hoping that they'll decide to change our xp gain from being "dance-based" to "skill level based".
