Dancer Archive

Just curious if there are any Dancer orEntertainerPA's out there and if so what server are you on? Looking for a good group to hang out with and have fun. Roleplayers are much preferred.

I'ts not a PA yet, but Starsider/Theed has some really really nice people dancing and playing at the Cantina.

Hi Raven girl. We've been talking about that one among ourselves for a day or two. Still too early to make an definitive plans yet. We have a number of friends and associates in the tailoring and other professions who will help us out as we move further along.

I think we're all waiting for the economy to develop a little more and for a surplus to start appearing. Once people start having some surplus cash and a little more leisure time (away from frantic Exp building) we'll see more traffic in in the cantinas, more events takng place and dancer/entertainer income will improve.

I've had several people talk to me about having dancers and musicians perform at some of their PA events/parties/rallies/etc WHEN they get their PAs set up. So I think the potential demand is there for those of us in the business but until some surplus starts accruing the demand for our services is going to be limited to BF healing.

I have found in my experience that tags are generally bad for my business, as it infringes on my neutrality and ability to manage my own career. Even entertainment only PAs may be guilty of this. Its like this:

1) Those in the PA will feel they may not have to tip me because its my "duty" to service them.

2) Those who are opposed to the PA will not tip me out of spite.

3) They'll expect me to service their mostly empty player cantina.

4) They'll expect me to go work campsites with them when I could be making mad cash in the cantina.

5) They'll expect me to /denyservice or not buff customers based on their dealings with a PA or individual that has slighted one of their members.

Because of these factors, I have found that it is generally not in my financialinterest to wear tags, andthis isthe answer I give the PAs who ask me why entertainers are so hard to recruit. However, I do know of several dancers who are in PAs, be it entertainer only, or general open PAs.

...having said that, a good one on Intrepid is DEF, a non-AFK troupe of very highly respected musicians, who have their own city, Symphonia. Contact Creeva for details.

Actually this PA is not really like that, speaking as a fellow dancer. I see that with many military powerful guilds and cities. We already have someone to run the cantina, and we are mostly a group to help you get XP and also have fun! Being an Entertainer is about enjoying life, our city is a retreat away from the war. I have to say I have tons of fun in my PA and they dont require me to do all that much, I volunteer for mostly everything since I love to help. Pretty much are free to do whatever you want and are always helped

considering ive only really ever played as an ent on shadowfire, i only have my experience in IGDM to talk about, but yea, if you are looking for an ent guild to join on any server seriously think about joining IGDM or ROCK on shadowfire, we are based out of naboo and we have our own city called mezzo-forte, we have alot of good members who are just out for a good time and enjoy roleplaying. send a tell to venoch if you do decide to do it, he will be able to get you involved.

On Kettemoor, Twin Suns is a small, mostly entertainer guild. Not all the members are entertainers, but a fair majority are, and the guild itself sort of revolves around our ownership of our cantina. We're neutral/reb, r/p HEAVILY recommended. (As in, if you can't even r/p your request to join, bleah. ^_^ ) Contact Chii for more info! ^_^

Anyway if anyone else is looking, might as well plug my cantina. A good place to come out and play with a NON AFK crowd. Roleplayers very welcome of course. The place can get quite kicking at times. As for PAs, there is also Gypsy Rain Entertainment on Kettemoor.

I would be happy if there were more Entertainer ect. that would join, but it is quite difficult ^^
