"If it is jedi you wish to become, patience you must learn. Hmmm."

It is kind of funny reading all these posts about who has or hasn't unlocked the FS slot, the theories on how to become a jedi (I know. I have posted some myself.) but I think one could learn a thing or two from yoda as quoted above. It will all soon be clear and the way to the force shall be open. In the meantime, focus on having fun with the character(s) you are playing. This game is far to vast and challenging to be concerned with solely becoming a jedi. (Although that would be cool as cool could be.)

They said 2-3 months for hardcore gamers. So wait 5 and whine when/if there's no FS. Something will unravel.

I'm of the opinion that until you know what it is you need to do, you shouldn't take great efforts to do things that you don't know will even benefit you in the long run.

That's the spirit. I am with IceMonkey that there is some meter that tracks what you do in-game. It is probably set VERY high so that it takes time to gain the FS slot and by that time you are very experienced in the game. Therefore I am biding my time and enjoying working my way up the ladder instead of powering up and then asking 'well now what am I supposed to do?' when I make master. Patience in all things...

Patience is a key virtue.

When I was grinding to master marksmen and Scout it seemed to take forever as I was doing nothing but focusing on getting the exp.

Once I mastered the 2 skills I've got 40k combat xp to go for Bounty hunter. Though I decided to take a nice break on getting xp and run some trade deals... Well when do you know... I've got 15k combat xp. 130k pistol xp and 70k or so Rifle. I did't try to obtain it all. I simply stopped trying and it all just came to me. I took up a few missions here and there, and the runs to my harvesters garnered me alot of random xp on the way as random mobs would attack me and I'd see interesting points that I'd want to attack.

The moral of this story is that if you give up trying and just let it come to you, it will happen. If you focus on it, it'll rob you of your fun. This goes for FS, Jedi, Artisian and everything else.

Patience is a virtue robbed from the American public by 30 years of really crappy TV ;-p

Watch it. I'm a patient American, and I've watched TV for 18 years. Now when the hell is the space expansion going to come out.

2004.

You know, I kinda found this stupid comparison for the FSCS. I was in my backyard and my dog has this path she always runs to chase birds. If you look at the path very cloesly, its nearly impossible to notice a difference in grass, however if you stand back and try not to notice the path, it stands out better.

Maybe we should all take a step back and look at what the real picture of the FSCS is...

He knew he was as good as gone, but gone was somewhere he really didn't mind going to.
Since his shuttle had crashed, many years had passed, and the pictures of his loved ones that he drew on the walls of the cave
had finally faded.
He put out his smoke, proceeded towards the lake, repeating to himself,
everything beautiful is far away.

That whole dog path thing was very deep man. I'll agree though. When you stare at something long enough it almost vanishes or distorts. those dang Magic eye puzzles are a good example. try to see the picture and it'll almost never show up. Relax your eyes and stop looking and the picture magically appears.

Ok, I'm burned out from work and too much SWG i'm gonna go pass out in a dumpster or something.

Somewhere I think we've over dramatized here

------

It probably has to do with the 30 years of crappy television.

No, the over dramitization would be like 10 years of Oprah, and Jerry Skinner or whatever that crappy ass Talk show guys name is.

Anger, impatience, frustration, they all lead to the Dark Side.

Simple message: Play the game the way it is was designed, and have fun. Be patient, and respect your fellow players, and let it come to you.

If you are constantly on this board waiting for new info or doing all of these crazy theories I have some advice for you...

1. Get a life

2. You will never get your FSCS like that

3. Relax and play the game for fun

4. The first step to becoming a jedi is patience..

Why would doing quests not be worthwhile? since alot of theories revolve around completing lots of quests and themeparks
