Thread: (Buffing) tag

this may have been suggested before among the hundreds of suggestions threads we have had.

I think it may be helpful, and useful to have a (BUFFING) tag that we can put up, just like the (AFK) tag.

So when people do come into the cantina looking for a live buffer, it is easier to find us.

Seems like it would be a very quick and easy addition for the developers to make.

Sounds good, actually But I know that's basically what the Master Dancer title and /registerWithLocation commandsare supposed to be used for. It's too bad thatnobody seems to know how to use the map and character search interfaces.

If the character search actually worked right, it probally would be used more often.

Is there a line command that can be used for player searches? I know you can /find trainer:marksman, or /find tavern, but is there a way to /find <insert profession codehere>?

I'm sorry, I don't know what I'm thinking It wouldn't be a /find command, but a /who command instead. /who <profession> doesn't work, but you're able to search for guilds. Is there a special way to search for professions through line commands that I'm missing?

Hmm I'm not really sure, but do a // command, it'll tell ya all the typable commands in the game, although some don't do a thing.

I think this is an excellent idea. Not just for us entertainers, but for the people looking for a buff. I fight sometimes too, and it would be nice to know who's buffing instead of having to bug people who may not want to be bothered.

I really think this would be very cool.

I agree. It should go without saying that we'd buff anyone who'd want one. But if it goes without saying, why do we keep on hearing from the patrons that we don't want to buff them? I always wanted not to even be asked if I could and would buff a patron, so I can move on and do the things that will get me tipped. This indicator may do that.

Well in my case... I only put up my master dancer tag when I am /registered and actively looking to dance for people. I would hope that any tag they would make for this didn't say "buffing". I hate when they ad imersion breaking game mechanic descriptions to our role play enviroment. For instance, doing the quest and having the audience ask for "poplock2"... We should have more imersive names for the dances and things like that.. *sigh* Sorry for the hijack.

How about a holoemote type sign instead?

I like this idea a lot. It doesn't appear that players are interested in taking the steps to locate a /registered entertainer or ask in the ent channels. Maybe if it is right in their faces when they walk in the cantina door, they'll at least stop to read it before heading to the bot.
