I'm trying to get back into visiting the cantinas on a regular basis. Unfortunately I am often the only one there or am the only one awake that's there. Since the NPC's never talk back I'd like to sing some songs or something to help pass the time and with a bit of luck draw some people into the cantina. Unfortunately I'm not nearly as creative as some of my fellow performers so don't really have a great song list. Any of you have favorite song lyrics you'd be willing to post here? I'll always provide proper credit if I perform your songs.
Cheers,
Ikewe

I've been working on a song/dance combo (unfortunately it's all macro sinceI cant type fast enough) for the famous Max Rebo band song Lapti Nek. i showed the dance to a freind of mine and she thought it was great but i didn't do the lyrical part of it since I didn't want to seem like I was spamming. Right now it's done to the Formal dance with several basic flourishes (I'm slowly working towards novice dancer atm). the dance has a slightly Kung Fu look to it and several people commented on how cool it looked after trying it for others my test performance. It is still in progress and I hope to get some musicians to play some really cool music for it. The lyrics are not translated so it is sung in Huttese. If you'd like to have the routine I made the dance routine forit, I'd be more than happy to post it here. Like I said, it's still a piece in progress and only lasts for 2 minutes (not sure if I want to do the whole song or not) and needs some refinements. If you have any suggestions or reifinements, I'd be more than happy to hear them.

Please post it. Most of the time it feels like I'm the only person on the planet
so I'm not as worried about spamming. If there's lots going on in the cantina I don't sing.
Thanks much,

I'm going to try to get the routine posted this evening, I've been busy with trying to improve it a little bit before posting it. Since it was created in-game and not saved to a text file, it might be easier for me to send it to to you via an in game cross server e-mail or to directly to you if you happen to have a toon on Radiant or Valcyn. Or I can always put a toon on your server and e-mail you with it.

But but but I liked the song you were singing the other day in Coronet.
It was so cute
Now that I know you like to sing while dancing I’ll make a point to nag you in to singing more
*hugs*

There's a pretty young Twi'lek on Chilastra that I'm absolutely head-over-heels for right now. But every time I mention the possibility of singing to her in public, she gets scared.....Why is that!?

Feel free to send any song compositions to me in game.
I'm on Shadowfire and my name is Ikewe (please note there's also an Ikewa and we're not in anyway related so please type the name carefully)

Arashi sings "My Immortal" by Evanescence
I roleplay that it was a poem she wrote after her husband (in game only)got their marriage annuled, and her best friend Kestra found the poem and put it to music.
My RL husband actually spent like 6 hours writing the macro for me. It is timed PERFECTLY if you listen to the track on the CD and run the macro she sings EXACTLY intime with Amy Lee. one of the sweetest things he's done for me in game
Helped me win a Miss Kauri pageant on Talus too LOL.

May I strongly encourage all budding lyricists to make sure you keep a copy of your macroed songs in a safe, off-game place (like Word - or even written down on paper and filed away).
Roho had to completely reinstall the game after having some problems several weeks ago and not only lost the SW version of "The Gambler" that he penned, called "The Smuggler", but also a love song for Kirah he had adapted from a play he performed in a while back.

I have really no creativity when it comes to writing songs.
I do have a single original song, but it's so heavily *influenced* by evanesence that I tend to get a lot of people saying "what song is that, I've heard it before..."
So what I do is this. I do have the Safety Dance macroed for fun, but for my real songs, I visit animelyrics.com (yes, I'm an anime nut, can you tell?) and I tend to use the english translations for anime songs. They tend to go unnoticed in terms of familiarity, are really pretty, and often only need a little bit of tweaking or sometimes shortening to fit nicely into a macro. One of my favorites is a song from Fushiigi Yuugi.
Without the actual music behind it, even hardcore anime nuts often won't recognize the words.

Great suggestion! I don't have any of my songs macroed at the moment - but at some point I might get tired of typing them as I go.
