Thread: CH taming bug?

Just spent a few hours on dath, found a baby rancor and some other high level creature babies. After carefully sneaking up on them avoiding detection (which is a chore after cu) i started the taming routine only to get a message "you cant tame that". This happened on all tames i attempted. I thought it must be because the creatures grow above lvl 70 or something along those lines. However i tried taming a brackaset which grows to lvl 65 and got the same message. Thing is i got a baby brackaset the day before. Now this if it is a bug is the worse one, as it takes time to track down the creatures you want, finding a baby, positioning yourself for the tame only to get that message. Whats going on? Anyone else have this happen?

It happened to me when a Merek Deaths Head (baby) spawned. I found another CH and he tamed it for me. Its a weird bug,and also very annoying. Especially if you look hours for a pet, then a baby spawns but you get that message.

Its a bug, ive gotten it on every taming attempt on dath and endor and a few times on correllia. save youself some time and headaches and dont bother with taming for a bit becuase what you tame today may be useless to you tommarow because the devs are swinging there nerf bats like a 6 yr old trying to hit a pinata 10 feet above them.

I tamed a lev 68 spider on Yavin yesterday (giant something). The only time I got that msg was when something had detected me prior to finishing the taming. Did you examine the creature to see if the baby was tamable first?

I havnt tried to tame any wild's the past 2-3 days Ive just tamed a few BE's that my mbe made. But i did examine the ones that gave me the error and they were marked as tameable

Its a bug. It has happened with all 3 of my CHs on a regular basis. The 'cure' is to logor do something else for a few hours

I figured out how this bug happens.... When a baby Agros. you and then you try to tame it again it says you can't tame that cause.. even if you don't see it, the baby still is agro on you (remeber things turn red) Well once you do that... OR if you try to tame something that you can't soon as you trigger the You can't tame that message it keeps coming up untill you do this.... leave the planet and log off, give it a few hours or wait till the next day to sign back on to fix it.

Been hit by this as well... So, so, so annoyed with it as it happened after I found a bull rancor baby. =(
