Creature Handler Archive

I'm coming back to the game after about a 6 month period of no play. I was just about MCH when I stopped playing before, and I'm curious if I should still keep it or if another class is more usefull. I started CH becuase I was a Wookiee with no armor and I needed something to take the hits when I did missions, etc. So, I'm coming here asking you, is CH still decent with the CU? I've looked around the forums here, but I haven't found something that can answer this for me. With the new con-sheilds and stuff, can petsstill take a beating?
