Thread: what to put with mch

before the cu i was master rifleman/mch alsoat one time was a tkm and swordsman now im having trouble finding something that compliments mch( anyone have any suggestions? i like to solo alot with just my pets and tkm nor rifleman seemedto compliment them maybe im doing something wrong but i would like my fellow creature handlers opinions

Just my personal opinion, but mch m rifleman is one of the best combo's but due to the horible hate system using pets as tanks when your a m rifleman is about impossible. With the changes to the professions its hard to make a combo that stands out from them others But the best way I can say it is this.


All the melee porfessions have been changed from an assult job to a punching bag job, My tkm m doc used to be able to swoop in punch a krayt to death but now If I try you use him as an assult weapon he gets tired vey fast and needs to rest, but if I use him as a punching bag he can take quite a pounding. So what it comes down to is do you want to be a punching bag while your pet does the damage or would you rather stand back and nuke the target.


For melee m ch & m tk or swordsman are nice combo's


For ranged m ch & rifleman is real good but m ch & smuggler is good also because if you get aggro'd you can use feign death to get them off of you.

I am a MCH - Carbineer .....I have found this the best, if the get past your pet with carbineer you can control the movement of the target. long enough for you to get away, or kill it , or have your pet catch up with it.

Carbineer sounds actually like it would work the best.. I am swordsman and I wont change that so I learned to deal with it. But I found that my knockdown attacks help alot.


I think That BH would be good as they can tank and be ranged. They can also can be sorta close up. I heared Pistoleer isnt very good, but that would probably work too.

i was MCH/Master Rifleman before CU - with the changes of CU (especially the new hat-system) i ran into lots of problems.
my pets couldnt tank anymore, the changes in rifleman's specials (mainly that concealshot works not that good anymore) changed the prof from a lonely hunter to a groups damage dealer, that have to hope someone (Tank or Healer) holds the agro.


irespeced to pistoleer and i really like it. i think the crowd control works well with pets.i had enough skillpoints to pick up BH pistol tree as well adding some nice stuff too.


i use my pet to draw a single target from the lairand letit attack to make some initialdamage and take the agro.then i usepistoleer's/bh's state specials (confusion shot for dizzy/stun, intimidate shot to lower damage output, warning shot to lower targets defenses). if my pet looses agro i use stopping shot to root the target and start my damage specials (bodyshot, placed shot, quickdraw). after the root is gone i use underhand(knockdown) and disarming shot(prevent target from attacking)tobuy some time for the cooldown - timer of stopping shot to run out. during all this my pet constantlydoesdamage.

Playing around with the respec I have to say Combat Medic is fun and works well with ch, I haven't really tried to take on anything uber, but thats not what I created the character for, more of a supportive character but with the time I have played it I find it very useful even soloing.

im having excellent results as a mch mbh. and typically i use the carbine. let the pets tank and use underhand shot when they get away from them.


as a mbh, you can also use the laser rifle. i have a high damage high speed laser that works well. usually i can get them dropped before they get to me.

I'm MCH and Ranger. Not much of a combat template, but I can walk through just about any mob without agro (of animals at least) with my huge mask scent bonus, can area track to find lairs and babies, and so on. Just an acquired taste.

I am master CH and Master fencer, Master scout.


Works well for me as i like to be up close and personal fighting with my friends


Master scout helps to keep aggro off me as i get a reasonable mask scent.

MCH/M Pistoleer here. With 0020 BH thrown in.


I can intim, root, stun, dizzy, and KD. I use a pistol mainly, but use a laser rifle at times, too, and acan still use the same specials with it as I can with a pistol.
