New CH here, always entertained being CH, then with the CU changing my role from DPS to crowd control (pikeman) i decided to switch.

I know I can buy BE pets, but are there any atm that are tameable by a master CH and will do ok in combat? OR... what sort of stats will it need to survive with me (CL80, TKM/master CH/pikeman xx4x).

Any constructive advice welcome, if you feel the need to flame devs, players, or be an ass, do it on someone elses thread.

First of all I'd suggest you have a look at the sticky threads to get a general feeling about being a CH... Can't tell you a whole lot about hunting after the CU yet myself because I was busy with other things but I amsure someone else will be able to help youout there...

I don't have that template, but I've had the best luck using the highest level pet I can call. Your pets don't really tank very well because they can't hold aggro very well. It doesn't take too much to outdamage your best bet, then you get aggro. As a tkm you should be fine with taking the damage, and your pets will be a good "bleed dot"

Another thing pets do really well is pull. I have two macros 1. /tellpet attack, and 2. /tellpet follow. I stand back 64 m or so from the lair, and then Attack, follow. The MOB will aggro your pet, and run out to meet it. Your pet will stand by your side, and start attacking as soon as the MOB hits your pet. Then you can go to work on the MOB. TheMOB will switch to you if you outdamage your pet, again probably not a problem with your prof. The great thing is youpull onlyone MOB.

Again I can't help you with BE pets. I only use wild tamed pets, but they seem to work well for my template. I'm MCH, Combat Med 4442, Marksman 0404, Medic 1430. If you use your pets correctly they will work wonders for you.

Have fun, and good luck!

I usually call a level 40 rancor and a level 29 Bantha with strong poison together. I'm Master CH/Pistoleer. I send them to attack the target and when my pets health get down below half I open fire. Has been working well since the upgrade.
