Thread: upcoming changes
Hello Mr Dev,,,,
The recent changes are great.. But there are 2 things that I think of that needs to be fixed.
1. 16 pets .. way WAY too low. I have 8 pets that I probably won't use too much.. I just think they are cool to have.. they would get wasted in any battle that I would get exp... With that said, How can I make any money on selling creatures if I can't store them.. I think 25 or so would be a great benifit.
2. 70 level.. yea. I know your not wanting to change it.. why not put it to like 95 or so.. so you still can't have 2 rancors but gives usa benifit to have smaller animals out.
Personally.. I believe babies should be rare.. if you want 4 Rancors in your DP.. well it should take an extreamly long time to find them.. same with all babies...
Regen is suppose to be fixed.. it is way better than it was already.
These items are currently "In Development". However, there are a lot of variables to account for between "In Development" and release to Live so please keep in mind that this is subject to change.
Dancers will receive abasic and advanced version ofa new danceto their repertoire. These dances will be granted to all dancers at the Dance Knowledge I and Dance Knowledge II skill boxes respectively.
Musicians will receive a new song. This song will be granted to all musicians at the Music Knowledge I skill box.
Battle Fatigue will no longer be acquired from combat, and entertainers will no longer be able to heal battle fatigue. Any player that logs in after this change will have all battle fatigue cleared instantly.
Since mind wound and battle fatigue healing are no longer the responsibilities of the entertainer, Entertainer Healing experience will be removed and replaced with dancer or musician experience as appropriate.
New particle effects will be granted for use by dancers and musicians. Dancers will also have the ability to hold and use dance props. Some types of props might include swords, staves, batons, sparklers, glow sticks, swoosh sticks, etc.
The Techniques, Wound Healing and Fatigue Healing skill tree branches will be modified to reflect their new attributes. Techniques will contain particle effects. Inspiration Buffs will replace Wound Healing. Props will replace Fatigue Healing. Other than adding the new dances, there will be no changes to the Knowledge branch at this time.
There will be an increase in Dancer Experience gain, the value of which is under discussion. Issues related to Cover Charge will be addressed.

Eshie -- on the making props thing, one major concern that is coming up is whether we are going to have to deal with harvesting rare resources, having factory-crafted components, looting schematics, etc. Is there any word on what they are thinking will be involved in making props. Since they are just props and quality should not matter, one can hope that if resources are even needed, they should be basic things like "metal" or "wood" and not something specific like "Type III Endorian Amorphous Gemstone".

Since the props seem to be intended to parallel the musician's instruments somewhat (they're in the same line in the skill tree), I think there's hope they'll model any potential crafting certs to use basic resources like for instruments (aluminum, steel, and soft wood will get you the ability to make any instrument).

I seriously, SERIOUSLY doubt that they would do this to us. I mean, come on. We're NOT a crafting profession and we never will be. Other professions that involve crafting but aren't centered around them (i.e. smuggler, musician, etc) don't use any sort of specific resources. And I doubt the quality will matter whatsoever.

Oh hey Aleyo -- what are musicians getting? Are you guys getting props too or something else? Since your instrument is kind of like your prop already... (Though microphones would be cool... but that's just one thing.)
