Well... Before you become content with the pet you are going to use most (as in tanking, riding, bla, bla...)

I noticed that some pets of the same species will get ability points more often than others. Like I tamed 2 mountain dewbacks. I had them both outside to "grind" the specials. One recieved an ability point every XP cycle, the other one got an ability point every 4th cycle. (or was it 3rd)

Now if the tame was hard and you don't want to go through it again I can understand that...
