Ok when I read publish 21 I got the impression that you will be able to train other pets special abillitys once you have learned them...Is this true?? Or am I completely off base with this...I have a CL 10 Cu pa that I have lvl'ed up 3 times and still hasnt learned any speacial abillitys... he has opened up 2 slots for special abillitys but hasn't learned any yet...once one of my other pets learns them will I be able to teach them to my Cu Pa...any help will be great...thank you and have a great day..

Pets don't spontaneously gain an ability through leveling (although that might be neat). You have to train them abilities that you've learned from other creatures.
Some creatures have an "innate ability" that they have immediately after taming them. Using these creatures for a period of time (how long appears to have a large amount of random chance) eventually grants you knowlege of that ability. You can then train that ability to any of your pets with free ability slots and sufficient training points available.
See Drashk's sticky in the section on "Learning an ability" for more details (as much as is known right now).
