Thread: have to spam /follow now

After I send the pet in to attack I now have to spam /follow to make it return otherwise it just goes back to fighting is this supposed to be working as intended ?

/follow usually makes your character follow your target, so either you mean "follow" or "/tellpet follow" or that might be the reason its not working

Basically, pets have their own command queue, similar to the toolbar command queue.


The pet will attempt to follow the commands that are given to it, unless you 'override' the command.


Example -


You command your pet to attack a lair. You then tell the pet to attack one of the fresh spawns. After the pet kills the mob, it will attempt to return to its original task, of bashing on the lair. In order to call the pet off, you will need to 'double tap' /tellpet follow, so that its command is cleared and then let it come to a 'complete' stop, by your side, before issuing it the next command.

.... I had my pet attack a lair,and then told it to attack the MOB that spawned... once the MOB had died it went back to attacking the lair.


....I was able to switch my pet between targets & nothing bugged on me..!

same problem with me too...


told my pet to attack a single mob (tellpet att) it attacked the mob...so no problem their, done this 3 to 4 times with no trouble


then told it to attack the lair (tellpet att) lair bar nearly half way down, told pet to follow ( tellpet fll) he came back to my side, again no problem their


the mob started to appear....told pet to attack a single mob (tellpet att) and he attacks the lair, this happens every time after he attacks the lair, and i tell him to attack the mob


but have read above reply so will try the double click on the follow command after he has attacked the lair

oops was a bit tired when posted original message should have put it better


When I send pet to attack a single target usually I'm within rifle range say 50 -65m the pet will engage the target I then do either follow which is the comand I trained the pet with for follow me or /tellpet follow tried both the pet will turn around then go back to fighting again. To get the pet back to me with the target it tow I have to spam the command say 10 - 15 times, spose i could do a tellpet macro but its just one extra trouble to remember to /dump if the action heats up.


Tried the double tap even tried triple n quad tap all several times still got to spam.


The pet(s) I'm using is a 68 & 70 lvl BE Angler and it seems to be that the pet forgets the follow command(s) when it gets attacked or decides to attack the target


Think I'll report it as a bug ,dont mind telling it to follow me 3-4 times sometimes when the pet gets stubborn but spamming it just seems stupid

Its nothing that cant really be worked around one way or another just another annoying little thing


Maybe it could also be a good sign that different types of pets act differently and that my anglers just ignore me more than other pets while in combat because of there small spider brains lol


I'll train a few more and see what they do ..I just like my giant spiders though

tryed the double click but makes no diffrence, also tryed it on other lairs and pets, seems to me to be a time problem. (you have to wait so many seconds before the pet looses that "attack lair" command)
