So I've spent the last 2 nights taming babies, trying to get me some of those brand-spanking-new special abilities. I've tamed literally dozens of babies on 3 different planets, from low level Paralopes on Corellia to level 69 Young Reptilian Flyers on Dathomir. Not a single one of these babies has had a Special Ability.

Now, before I start ranting again, am I missing something? Seems to me that the methodology is pretty simple - you tame a baby, open the training window and scroll down to the Abilities section. If the baby has an ability, it should be listed there. Right? So why hasn't a single one of the babies I've tamed had an ability? Is it listed somewhere else? Do abilities only show up after some XP leveling with the baby (I tried that with a couple of the new tames and nothing happened, so I'm guessing not, but at this point I'll grab any straw I can)?

When I said I've tamed dozens of babies, I was serious. Not a single special ability among them. None from anything on Corellia, none from anything on Dantooine and none from anything on Dathomir. And I won't even mention that the taming bug smacked me again, this time with a Surefoot Brackaset baby.

Is it my galaxy? Is Flurry bugged? Anyone else on Flurry had any luck?

Only Triggered Abilites will be listed in the Pet Command window, that pops up with the use of the Train radial menu.

Once the pet it tamed, open up your datapad and examine the pet control device. If the pet has an ability, it will be listed right after the standard pet stat data.

No because that wont show abilities that are always active

You select the pet in the data pad, look at the info on the side of the data pad (DO NOT EXAMINE, IT WILL SHOW NOTHING), and if the pet does not have special abilities listed, well I usually delete them.

I *knew* I was doing something wrong! Thanks for your help.

I went back and reviewed the 4 or 5 babies I kept from my taming last night, and none of them had an ability. So I went out and tamed a Mutant Baz Nitch, and there it was: Imperiling Feint (2). Sweet.

...by the way, anyone else getting a bug that won't let you tame babies or pull your own pets because somehow it thinks you don't have the skills to manage even a level 10 mount? It's intermittent; I drove for a while and suddenly I could tame and pull pets again. But that was a discouraging minute or 2. I guess we can expect hotfixes for our hotfixes. Oh, well. I still think these CH changes (now that I know what I'm doing) are a lot of fun.

right after you tame the pet, examine it in your datapad. if it has any specials they will be listed under its stats. innate abilities will not show in the training window, as they are not a command given by the ch.
