So the latest word as I write this is that all pets stay in the datapad and that all pets CL10 and below remain callable in the NGE.

I'm wondering if we can think through the implications of this? Who is going to train the CL10 pets in the new system? I'm guessing they'll have to give that ability to everyone. Will there be an ability to gain new CL10 pets for general use? If so, how? Or will the only CL10 pets available be the ones already in the game or any pets given out via expansions (like the varacytl or the lava flea)? If so then CL10 pets (especially nonvaracytl and nonlava flea ones) just became a lot more valuable.

So, the code for having pets will continue in place but we will not be able to use our higher level pets. This seems to imply that the reason to get rid of CH is related that it is a balance issue with CH or the effort required to make them balanced. Does this mean that there is hope to get CH-like abilities if we can prove that they are easily balanced in the new system?

Since the code for having CL10 pets will remain, I wonder if the devs would throw us the bone (couldn't resist) of allowing us to have some of pets convert to CL10 and thus remain callable but not unbalancing.

In the meantime, I think I'm going to clean out some of my "extra" pets and pick up as many CL10 pets and fully train them as I can before Nov.15.

Other people care to speculate on these topics?

well actually didnt they say you would be able to call up to lvl 10. No where did they say we could still tame lvl 10 and lower. So as I read it i think they mean what we have is what we get so that is why I will stock pile a bunch of lvl 10's in my datapad and teach them vig health, thick skin and maybe a knockdown.

Hope they allow us to convert all higher pets to lvl 10.... if not just for show.

Would be so lame to have to delete so many old pets. and not to mention those who have trained their pets with new abilities...

Lets hope there will still be some creature angle that we can play.

Thats been on my mind aswell... My BE/CH is now completly lost... no idea what to make him into...

Even if mounts arent used much they are stil DAMN COOL.... so for love of something... keep them in game...

Those are some good questions. I think I will also grab what I can for lvl 10 and lower and train them. Hopefully my long time faithful mount, Bernie (a bantha) will still be along my side.

Would take away a lot of RP value for ST's if they couldnt ride a dewiee anymore...
