Creature Handler Archive

Well I spent a good chunk of my day yesterday on Endor, still searching for a Arachne Widow baby. Went through a couple of lars and a total of maybe 40-50 widow and queens. I have been looking on and off for a while, no idea how many lairs I have sorted through maybe 20 or so, and have never seen a baby. Well they are rare for a reason.

Well after running out of widows I decided to check the other side of endor, as I still haven't gotten a prowling gurreck (never really looked before either) or a Merek Death's Head. After coming accross a spawn of prowlers with no luck I headed north to the plains for the Mereks. I grabbed a mature hanadak rock smasher, since I hadn't recalled taming one of those before (one of my goals is to tame every tamable critter in the galaxey) I started accross the plain.

Lots of spawns yesterday up there, most aggro's. Well I saw a couple of merek spawns, but nothing of interest, a merek cavern crawler, and TBL baby which I passed up on. As I was passing around a spawn of Hanadak drifters and a screecher lair, I came on a second screecher lair.

As I looked at the blips on the 2nd lair I noted 2 red and 2 yellow?!? Doing a quick tab through, indeed! 2 adults and 2 baby screechers. Well I've had my screecher in my datapad for a while, but hey they're rare right? So I tell BigLou (my bodyguard rancor) to chill while I slap on the taming clothes and sneak up on them. I figure that I will be running shortly, as when I got my 1st screecher it took me many tries to approach and tame him. Well after almost no time sneaking (and no detections!!) I'm face to face with baby #1. Ok hit tame and wait for the failure....nope 1st time tame, w00t! Well as long as I'm here and baby #2 is here, hit tame again.....bang another 1st time tame....

So here I am, can't find a widow, death's head, or prowling gurreck baby - sitting on 3 screechers now lol. I guess some of us are meant for certain types of babies
