I think it's almost identical to regular rancor, juse less HAM.

IMHO the advantage of the gnarled is since its CL45 at MCH you can pair it up with CL25pet. Its hard to find a decent CL20 pet to pair with a regular Rancor, but there are plenty nice CL21-25 pets out there.

Ill bet a Mantinique Nightstalker or whatever its called is good in PVP. Disease that turns your ham bar black fast.

I like the gnarled rancors because of the options available for the secondary pet. And we all know that in most situations 2 is better than 1.

They make good tanks to pair off with a level 25 pet, usually use one of my fliers to go with him, since they have some kind of poison or disease.

There are no tamable pets that do disease.
