I don't want to say that I am moving on to better things because I love this profession, but I am moving on. My reasons are the same reasons as countless others. I have been a Master CH since August of '03, and my time has come. Dobeccafrom Wanderhome is now the proud owner of my most prized posessions, my Arachne Widow named Mortalis and a pair of Plains Hunters, Asperi and Vesperi. The rest of my pets will be released into the wild. I will miss my pets...

Ch is fun having pets instead of players to follow you to your missions and help you out.

Always sad to see one more of Wanderhomes MCHs leave for some other profession.

Wanted to leave you with something to think about......

2. Create Interdependence

•Improve Professions

  • Professions now have unique roles in a group and make all roles useful.
  • Profession archetypes are more likely to be special and sought after.

•New Death and Incapacitation Rules

  • Change to the way HAM interacts with death - group with friends to increase your overall stopping power.

•Weapons and Armor Interaction

  • Profession specific benefits for wearing armor based on Profession - new roles for different armor types to prevent any one set of armor from being "the best".
  • Armor types are affected differently by different weapons. – there should no longer be a “best” weapon.

•High End Content

  • Tough NPCs and creatures will require groups to take them down.
  • Buffs and HAM drain/regeneration put back into balance.
  • Players can still solo character advancement.

.... have fun with your new professions, if it's one of those "uber" onesthen enjoy it while it lasts. With the new specials system being controled by a seperate bar not connected to the hams we now know it as means the "uber" professions that can deal "uber" damage will most likely come with "uber" specials bar penalties or "uber" time restrictions. Given time this games best professions will truely be the ones you love instead of the, what can this profession offer me. Seeing that you have lasted as a MCH for this long means you must love this profession, and not just another groupie us MCHs had back in the day.

No, it's not an uber one. Hell, it's notorious for killing you before the enemy does... if you're unbuffed. I'm actaully going Carbineer/MBH. The thing is, as I get more into PvP, I realize just how worthless I am with my pets. Sure, I can sic my Arachne Widow on someone or a BE'd Rancor.... but they drop in seconds and I'm left with just my Laser Carbine in hand. Since my pets don't do anything for me when it comes to PvP, I want to start Mastering a skill that will benefit me and my guild. My pets aren't even a viable choice for guild hunts. The melee professions tank better than one of my pets. There really isn't anything that makes CH desirable for the path that I'm starting to go down. I'm still a Master CH and will be until I have finished Mastering the Investigation line of BH, I'm currently 3/4/4/4. Maybe after the CU, I'll come back if I like what I see. But for now, I wish you all good luck in finding the rares that you want and hope you have as much fun as you possibly can. Please don't let my departure discourage any of the new CH's coming in as I can vouche first hand that this is a really fun profession.
