I know its not a bull, but I finally got my Swamp Stalker. After a month and a half of searching. I was checking my usual waypoints southwest of keren and wasn't finding anything. I decided to head farther west and found an adult near -1173, 2658. Third one was a grey baby. Tamed on first try. I am going to see if my luck holds on corelia with the GPS.

swamp stalkers are still my favorite to tame. I go out on swamp stalker expeditions all the time. Right now I just have my two greys, Stalker and Silencio. I'm trying to get the elusive black stalker that I have seen people talk about. Although a white one would be nice too

It was my first rare tame. I learned a lot about the process of taming rares and finding them. The patience that it takes and the persistance that are needed. I think the next target is going to be a mantrigue screecher. I really want to see what the plague strike special is like.

congrats!! I have been out hunting GPS on scylla for weeks now.. I ran into an adult alone the other day, called a BE friend of mine out to get her sample, but the thing aggro'd so fast we had to put it down.. all 4 times it spawned. Shortly after, I found a spawn about 2k away down the river towards SoCoro, and low and behold, a baby! I went forward, scent masked, to tame it, and both the adult AND the baby aggro'd me... being a TKM, I forgot to spam my peace macro and I whacked the baby into oblivion... after killing the adult, I sat down and cried.. literally cried.. then sent a tell to a MCH buddy of mine confessing my idiocy. Jump to the next day.... after having 4 master rangers on the lookout for me, one found a spawn with TWO babies... but some jerk came along and whacked them out for the XP, despit the ranger asking him to move along, that these babies were a rare tame and that he was camping the spawn for me... I was crushed... and still am... I got my black sun helmet on the first try, why does this GPS elude me still? I chalk it up to bad timing and stupidity on my part... I stand, ever ready, for that lucritive tame... and be sure that when I do get it, I am gonna show it to EVERYONE... lol.

Man that sucks. I have always worried about my unarmed line in brawler causing me to lose a baby. I have a procedure that I follow regardless of the pet I am going to tame so that i don't accidentally kill it, and have the best chance to tame. I always have my BE clothing on, under my armor. I un-equip my weapon. Type /peace, then type it again but without hitting enter in case the peace breaks. I hit my mask scent toolbar button. Then go up and tame. I would like to create a macro that would run peace and shout out a warning to other players that I am attempting to tame and to not shoot the animal. All I can say is good luck, you'll find it sooner or later. I have only found two spawns of GPS, I have not even seen a baby. So you one step ahead of me.
