Thread: Pub 21 on TC: Did they fix the you can't tame that bug?
I don't think this has been fixed yet. I experienced the "You can't tame that" bug earlier today on TC-Bria after getting (and shaking) aggro from a ravenous gackle bat baby following a failed tame attempt. The baby no longer had a Tame option on the radial menu, and using /tame produced the aforementioned error message.
However, doing a /sit;/logout and then logging right back in fixed it. I was able to tame the baby as normal after that.

I have had several experiences where I could work past the message. The one time I could not was a flyer on Dathomir. I noticed that the flyer's 'dot' did not change to red when it chased after me. It stayed yellow. I waited a few seconds knowing that it should have been red and should be changing back. I was correct and was able to attempt the tame again after the flyer left its hidden aggro state.
I always thought that this bug had multiple causes. Hopefully after the publish it will be far less frequent (and less annoying).
I have had the bug a while back on "live"
Recently on TC I have noticed a difference
Instead of getting the"Can't tame bug" the babysjust aggros you more on failed attempts
Also I have noticed that if the baby is yellow but the lair has been tapped and is still red Attempts to tame are meet with aggression.
But was still able to tame babies from another nest or wait till it turns yellow again from a distance.
This may not have anything to do with the current bug in live where you can't tame anything but I have yet to catch on Test Center.

your ability to tame creatures isnt a measure of your CL vs their CL. it has to do with your "Taming of Wild/Ferocious Creatures" (at least I think it's ferocious) skill mod
i'm not sure which creatures you can tame with which skill mods, but thats what determines what you can and cant tame
