How should i be getting creature handler xp? currently i'vebeen running around outside eisley finding babies, taming, training, releasing. i do have a couple of creatures i attack with, but get very little xp for it.

am i doing something wrong to gain good xp, not asking for a quick grind, justa quicker grind as i only get 400 xp per tame/train.

what should i do?

Your best bet would be to go to the mining outpost on dantooine (or where ever groups start on your server) and get into a hunting group. Send in your pet to attack but make sure you don't attack. You will be getting 5-7k per kill. I have went from novice to 2114 in 2 days and should be master in another 2 days.

I think someone should have had the decency to tell me the luncheon was free. To make someone run out with eopie pie in his hand, pretending he's throwing up, is not what I call hospitality.

I'm a fairly new CH myself and early on, I did pretty much the same thing you are doing (tame, train, release). Once you have trained a few boxes though, the xp for using a pet in combat becomes the absolute best way to get xp. I highly recommend finding a group (or at least a few people) to hunt with (pulling missions is monotonous, but it is good xp and decent money ). I also recommend learning the pet /group (pets DO takeone of the8 Spots in a group )command as quickly as possible so the pets can recieve whatever your combat level's mitigation (they will take less damage when hit, but not do more dmg. ) bonuses are. I used my Veractyl and Kashyyyk Bantha mounts early on and switched to some BE'd pets once I could command lvl 16 creatures.

Basically, my approach to gaining XP is to TURN OFF my auto attack and only use my weapon to apply states/debuffs as needed with the occasional knockdown or root as needed (I'm a BH/Pistoleer/CH/medic combo). It goes extremely slowly if you are solo, but grouped with other players the XP is excellent.

take a look at your skill window (ctrl+s). on the left u should see a listing of your skills. there is one called "max level of pets" - it should be at +16 with your skills. thats the level of creatures u can tame and control.
