hello fellow ch'rs. I just got master ch and was very excited about using ranged attackwith my gaping spider hunter and giant sand beetle - well needless to say the excitement quickly changed to frustration! i tried getting in closer, i tried attack command first and other unfruitful things to get the pets to shoot something - anything! nada! Am i doing something wrong? How dowe get our critters to use ranged attack? and help would be appreciated. thanks

Yes, Seiryuu is right. Once a BE pet has been switched to ranged mode, though, you can't switch it back to melee unless you store it. This (and tamed in the wild pets not having access to ranged attacks at all) are known issues.

Unfortunately, along with our other known issues, they're being apparently ignored by the devs.

Not Vert's fault, I know he makes a point to bring it up with them every chance he gets, but one of the pathetic bones tossed our way at the time of publish 5 wasn't even working. Which shows you how terrible QA on this project is.

The ranged attack command does not work for wild pets. It will work with BE pets as I understand it.

Did they nerf out the ranged attack for wild pets? My alt was 3-2-2-2 CH last fall before the big Mauler Nerf, and had a lvl 22 Dragonet that had a cool Acid Ranged Attack. He finally got rid of it after dropping all of CH, so hasn't tried anything yet. I'm taking up CH now to supplement DE, and would like to know this.

And I'll say again. They fixed the BE pets ranged attack but not the wild pets ranged attack Ain't that a kick in the butt.

Well, I don't care what they do.I'm still notgoing tobuy BE pets (sorry BE's).

thanks folks for takin the time to answerI had planned on keeping master heavy sword, master ch and a couple trees in medic (getting weary with the holo grind:robottongue but im begining to wonder if maybe i should just take a marksman elite instead of ch until they get things figured out - ch is still very cool, but seems like it is not as useful as i had hoped it would be. When i purchased my copy of SWG one of the reasons was because creature handler sounded so cool - i hope they get it worked out soon
