what skills exactly do i need to tame a Sludge Panther, and a Greater Sludge Panther?

I was under the impression that all I had to do was clear the CL 16 with my skills, but obviously i'm doing something wrong...

I'm 0102 and sitting on the following skills atm...

Additional Pets +1
Max Level of Pets +18
Stored Pets +6
Taming Wild Creatures +20

do i need to have Taming Vicious Creatures?....

or higher skills? what?

You may need to have taming vicious creatures - the other skills you have should be sufficient. Without the vicious creatures skill, you cannot tame aggro creatures.

To tame a sludge panther, you'll need at least Taming II, because sludge panthers are aggro beasties. You'll need a call level of 19 IIRC, as these are CL 19 critters, but I could be wrong on that.

To tame a greater sludge panther you'll need to have a call level of 25, minimum, but you don't need to have the Taming line, as GSPs are non-aggro beasties.

Regular Sludge Panther is CL 16 but aggro. You will need Taming II or bio clothes with + to taming vicious creatures to get you level up to tame aggro creatures. If you are a wookie, you can do it at Tame I.
