Thought it might be nice to meet fellow CH's that might be there. Throw backs a few (relative term) Mint Juleps.

I, and many of my PA reside in the Bluegrass State, but I am not sure if any are attending.

I don't think I will ever miss it again. I am a Buckeye and just a few hour drive the morning of the race. It makes for a long day but short of Mardi Gras, Octoberfest or Carnival (either Italy or Rio), I cannot think of a better time.

It is one of the few things our little state does well... but like those few other things, we do it VERY well indeed!
Welcome to KY and hope you continue to enjoy it.

I live in Louisville and have to say the mayhem is worth it I guess. Well, the drunk young ladies of the infield who are pining for beads are worth it. Its the biggest horse race in the world.

New home of SWG Rangers!

I get up at 2 am to leave at4 in the morning to be on the infield at 8. The first post time is 11. There is nothing like a morning nap on the bluegrass.

I tried to enter my dewback into the race, but was told it was for mammals only.

I'm on the west coast, so it's a bit difficult to just jump in the car and drive over to Louisville to grab a julep.

Cheers to those of you attending!

Amiel,

Since there is a 75% chance of rain lol I almost wish I was not going. The rain is going to help me beat the favorites, all my money is going on Wimbledon to win. I think it is the only one to pull off a win in the rain. Churchhill keeps a nice track however so maybe the others can keep close.

If it stays dry Lionheart is coming out of the 3 hole and has plenty of speed. He should settle for a nice ride down close to the rail.

Wow, I didn't realise so many people are from Ky here. The hell with the Derby, I'm going to the Oaks! Less tourists that way.

Halfbridled will beat Madcap Escapade at the Oaks. I just don't know which day Azeri is running but she should be a LOCK.

Ok now I have that song "Run for the Roses" in my head...

Hope you all have fun at the races!

Pluto, please make sure you remember to give the reigns of your mount to a friend if you are going to do that much drinking and be careful what you try to tame.
