Thread: What should the Devs do for CH as a reponse to this bug?
Here are my ideas:
Do not extend the double xp. Do something like one of these.
1. Give us an uber level 70 elite pet.
2. Up our creature control level from 70 to 85 and make level 85 craftable by BE.
3. Make high level tamable elites spawn more babies. Lots of them for at least a week.
4. Make the giant Peko Peko mountable.

Okay to recap we will not get any compensation. We did not get any when they nerfed our pets with the CU, or left a broken ch grind. They have never provided us with any compensation for missing special attacks. They have never compensated us for the removal of the tricks worthiness. Nor the near uselessness of multiple pet use. They have not compensated us for a near worthless scout profession. They have not compensated us for the redundant mount issues. In a nutshell or an eggshell if you like double puns. All we will get is a sorry. Then they will continue on their inflamatory way. I have come to the conclusion that the devs just hate the hell out of CHs. They are none to nice to rangers scouts or artisans for that matter. You are not a jedi deal with it behave like the bum on the street you are. Be thankful that occassionaly they take the time to step over your rotting corpse rather then just stepping on you.
I'd appreciate a step-over, they seem to kick me whenever they come within sight .....
Seriously if all the jedi nerf sticks went invisible. Ten devs would be on that forum whipeing their noses and kissing them on the forhead. Our profession gets totally destroyed by a publish and one response with a half hearted excuse. A excuse that should have read like this.
Sorry guys we did not actually make sure we tested a fix before pushing to live. See the forth is comeing up and we want to be able to take off thursday and friday. Five day weekend.
they should give us all a gmail and if we had pets going down to 1(0) then they should replace them...
and ya the devs hate CHs to the bone... for some reason ![]()
Well, what they could do is reset the vitality of all pets to 100/100.
Just a thought.
Fix pet specials.
Fix pet armor.
Fix wild spawns of rare creatures (like the Great Plains Stalker) so that they respawn.
Increase pet damage, since PvP is impossible with a pet, as they're only a level 69 or 70 max, and the damage modifier against them makes them easy targets for level 80 players, and higher level PvE content. A 10 level difference means they should be putting out more damage since they'll go down faster.

ROTFLMAO!!
A BEAUTIFUL example of how we as a people have come to expect some sort of compensation for every little bump in the road!
No offense man, but we should all just be happy for a fix and call it a day.
If its any consolation, you did bring a big 'ole smile to my face ![]()

This is an example of people SCREAMING at the SOE driver that there's a bump in the road ahead, and he ignores them and drives right into it.
IRL people are sued into poverty for this sort of negilgence. Which is why I suppose we should be happy SOE management is not running something with life and death consequences, like a hospital or an airline.
CH has been on the receiving end of some of the worst dev foul-ups, absolutely ... but let's face it, it's nothing personal, they've done just as bad to most of the professions in the game. They have just never prioritized good quality in their code, and they have always been terribly understaffed for the number of professions they have. Obviously this problem must be worse today than ever, because every publish seriously and negatively impacts multiple professions now .... the quality has really never been worse.
So what should they do?
(1) Shake up their management team, problems start at the top.
(2) Hire a new QA (Quality Assurance) manager in their software engineering team.
(3) Hire three to five employees whose only responsibility is playing every profession in the game, one month per profession to start. This team must brief the PM's (product managers) and dev managers weekly, Monday and Friday, on the major issues in each profession and the preferred community solutions.
(4) Once the new QA manager is hired, he adds 2 more people to his staff.
(5) Once the new QA manager is hired, the #1 priority in the project for the next quarter (3 months) is Quality. Yes, the teams work on different things at SOE -- but not for this three months. The only thing anybody works on is quality of existing code. You were working on an expansion last week? Great ... here's a list of 100 known bugs, start at #1 on the list and work to #100, testing fixes as they come out of the responsible dev team. We get more fixes and every team in the game learns a better understanding of the overall game, an understanding that is clearly lacking today or changes would not have such negative unintended consequences.
That's what they should do. Fixing this stuff isn't rocket science, it takes good management and intelligent priorities. But ..... I'm not betting on it in this case.

I agree totally. This is what SHOULD happen.
However, I think there's a bigger chance that I'll get struck by lightning on the way to pick up my lottery check that I just won after my house was struck by a meteor.
I would like to be able to call 3 pets no matter there level like when I first started and it has nothing to with with this bug I just miss it. Yeah I know you can get some kind of wild nag cat trio but I want to use 3 gurracks I like them better
Then again would be funny to see a Frienzed graul, Bull rancor and Great Plains Stalker following me. Oh well I know it will not happen but sure is nice to dream ![]()
I just want my pets back to there full CL and Health
I also requested that they fix the bug.
