I am mbh/mch now. Anyone have any suggestions for pets and special attacks for pvp and pve bounty hunter missions? Any ideas would be great. By the way, just bought level 8, level 9, and level 10 bio-pets all with 10k ham and 60 kin resist. Two of them have strong disease/strong poison special attacks and the other has stun/dizzy. These should pair well with higher level (around 50) armored pets.

Also, I still have a shirt that has +2 pets out, which would make a total of 5. It currently doesn't work. Anyone hear anything if that might be a mod they add back in?

CH SEAs do not work, have never worked, never will work, were nerfed in beta, they still drop from the loot tables, don't ask me why but they do.

It's useless. Destroy it and get on with your life.

Your best bet for pets that complement your BH skills are, as is nearly always the case, your local MBE who can whip up pets to your specifications. Pets with KD, intim, and dizzy would probalby be your best bet.

Pets in NPC bounty hunts work very well. In PvP, any pet is well-nigh useless.

Do the level-10 pets have any armor? If so, they'd make great PvE tanks. I recently bought my first BE'd pet, a CL-32 razor cat with slightly elevated health, and slightly-reduced mind, 60% kinetic resist and light armor, and he does a superb job against rancors and such. My previous best pet (a natural graul mauler) has good resistance, but the lack of armor on natural grauls is a real hindrance. As a bounty hunter, the way to go when selecting a pet is to look for the best tank you can find, and don't worry about its attack power. Your forte is dishing out damage.

Note also that pets' Knockdown attacks are broken.Poison and disease is semi-broken, in that they won't work on command. The pet will only attack randomly with them. I like to pick up pets with Intimidate, since it's the only state I can't induce with a carbine or pistol.

With all my pets and a combat droid pulled, I can pull CL-48 missions, which include rancors, craggy bolmas, and surefoot brackasets for Dathomir, and thunes and Dantari on Dantooine. These creature missions are my favorite money missions, because they all have zero resistance toelectricity and acid. The Dantari are much tougher, but I mention them since so many people seem to like going after Mokks and Jantas for money. For my part, I can wipe out any of the three creature missions I mentioned in about five minutes. Each has its advantages. Rancors give about 4100 Pistols XP when I use a scatter on them, plus 450 to 490 CH xp per creature when I sicc my razor cat on them. Plus I get 750 Scout xp for harvesting off the corpses. That boils down very nicely into Senses XP for my Force-sensitive grind. But best of all is the occasional Enraged Rancor random spawn: Close to 5000 pistol or carbine XP (using acid-based attacks, since they're highly resistant to energy and impervious to electricity), 1100 CH xp, and 1500 Scout xp for those huge meat/hide/bone drops.

ohh btw the strong disease special is probably the most useless thing in the game. It does an average of 3 wounds per tick. Thats not a typo it really is that useless.

I suggest you read my thread on jedi and creatures in PvP. The short answer is you have no hope against a Jedi no matter which pet you use.

Have you tried using two or three bomb droids on one target yet? That seems most viable and if you find it useful let me know

With the silly aggro feature, any decent wild pet, other than a blurgg or Gurreck, which are not aggresive are useless to you. You will not be able to control them inspite of the fact that you are "Master Creature Handler" so don't waste your time unless you just like looking at them in your datapad of course.

The only animals worth your effort now are BE created, but be absolutely sure they are not labeled aggresive. The BE can tell because the skin is in a red box rather than blue. So find out what they have that you think you might like your pet to look like and then tell them exactly what you want in your pet meaning resistances in your case the higest energy and kinetic resistance is 60% and you can not get any resistance in lightsaber so don't ask them for this. The other resistances are all able to reach 100%. Light armor is the best you can get in armor dispite the fact that in the wild animals come with medium and heavy armor.

Then get the best kind of specials that fit your mode of play and the type of bounties you take. If you are mostly into going after Jedi then you need them with the highest HAM you can get, with light armor, no resistance will help you and you most likely want specials that will continually hamper the Jedi's ability to do damage and fight well so forget DOT specials they will take to long, you want dizzy, knockdown, stun anything you that will allow you to get in more attacks and more damage faster.

If it is PvE you do most, then the DOTs are good against high level opponents that might take you a while to take down, especially if they do a lot of damage to their mind pools.

Just my thought on you question.

Zach, as this type of post has been already discussed 100 times, pets are not viable in PvP, most jedi's hit pets for well over 10K damage in a single hit, other players simply ignore the pet. The ONLY use are the specials, i normaly use Intim and Dizzy or strike however the poisons/desease do nothing to a buffed player so i dont even bother with them. Hope this helps.
