You were supposed to fix Specials and investigate the broken Speed of pets in the last five weeks, too ....
Now I'm not asking you to put the repair of the borked Level patch behind these other parts of the system that you screwed up in prior patches, I think we're all pretty much in agreement that we'd like the Level that you broke this week also FIXED this week ....
But you're still FIVE WEEKS BEHIND on fixing the other stuff you unintentionally broke in your previous code 'updates' (I now call it an 'Update' when my neighbor's cat horks up a furball, thanks to you guys).
Frankly, no, you don't deserve a three-day weekend, but I know you're going to take it anyway. So can whoever is wearing the QA Manager Duncecap this month (it's impossible to believe it's actually a staffed and paid position) get back to work on Tuesday fixing the stuff you told us you were going to fix before you broke new stuff that you're now telling us you're going to fix?
Even if you don't have an attention span longer than a music video, WE DO.

Regarding where the specials are
Yes, they're broken. No, we don't have a firm ETA. But I think that's the best answer we're going to get, and hopefully when this hits testing/feedback stage we're all quite impressed.
If this "new" specials system is designed to let us fulfill multiple roles (like, for example, crowd control or debuffs or something as well as damage/tanking) as we were supposed to be designed for ("Jack Of All Trades") post-CU, then it will very likely be worth the wait.

I hope so, because we've been waiting a long time for this, and it was actually discussed in the alpha forums as something that was "beyond the scope of the CURB" but would be addressed afterwards.
The idea that pets can be keyed to certain roles (tank, nuke, crowd control) is a great one, and I certainly would not expect them to be as good as the masters (level 5)of those particular roles (TK, Rifleman, Smuggler), but they should have some utility, certainly as much as a level 3 or 4 ranked role profession.

Now, not to be negative, its cool that they are saposidly making the special system for pets better, but what someone like me? I have all 22 pets I want, I got my team, I love them and I am not going out to tame more if I don't have anymore room. Its bad enough I had to give some pets away because I didn't have enough room in the first place. Is this going to hurt me? Am I not going to know all the specials I want? What about my level 1 pet? I wanna know soon, how this sytem will work, cause it would be a sin if I can't learn any specaisl I want because I am dedicated to my creatures.
Besides the specail system which we be a plus for all you guys, I was wondering if pet speed is a bug or a nerf? What about attacking on mounts? The things that we used to have? Are these thigns going to be fixed, Changed or removed? Are pets ever going to tank for us again? I am not capable of tanking something when It is my level and runs for me ignoring my slow pet. Maybe this is a bug becuse of broken speed? Will thier be a taunt special for pets or something to make the mob attack them? Is vitality gunna finally be done away with, since my pets lose it a hell of a lot more now because they can't tank 2 things? Sounds on pets like the Malignant squill and the spiders, along with some animations are broken still. Mount speed is bad, this effects non CH as well, whats the point of owning one then? Are pets ever going to have special resistances to kinetic and energy? would help like Arachnes being strong against kinetic and Anglers strong against energy, that would help. Pet levels decreased and our max level ever gunna be increased? More storage room? We REALLY need more storage, or at least a place to put pets not in use. Spawn fixes? We can't tame rares or any strong new pets like blurrg raptors and stoneskin hanadaks because they don't respawn corectly. Are The old Rares going to be extra rare again? Are there going to be more rares? Are BE pets seriously going to be ginormous like that.. cmon gimme a break..
There are alot of issues right now, And I didn't even name them all. Plus those are only fixes, besides new specials, are we going to get any addons like the other professions in the game, if everything under 70 tamable is our add-on, that stinks, I don't like that personally. Alot of the things I wanted tamable arn't now anyway, and since the level change and such alot of things, like the fierce picket protector re not the same so I don't want one anymore. I know I am sayong alot And yes this stuff has been discussed, I am just pointing out the problems our comunity has been putting up with, when instead of just fixing bugs and problems first, they are adding new things and changing old things, alot of these issues are pretty deep and need to be looked into fast. Honestly I know alot of the DEVs are probably working hard, but Think about us, the CH, We havn't seen a good battle since the first nerf. WE have been waiting and waiting for the light to shine on us for once. Maybe, just maybe if you fix our issues, We can help contribute to the game and make it a better game, You can add new things to help people, like mount storage, alot can be done with mounts, Stables to train pets to give to people so we can make money for once. If we are Crowd control how come we can only really call 1 pet, thats not crowd conrol.. A person with a droid can do what we do now. If you higher our level but keep the tamables and BE pets under 70, we can really make a difference in grouping, Be-friend our pets to others, guard others and tank. Calling 1 pet serves no justice and the only pets we can group now post-cu are too weak to hold out long enough, thats why the Female Nargs are in high demand. Before I rant too much, I just wanna say Ko' you have been working hard and I am glad you are our corr. And JR, the dev dude, thanks for acknowleging us and letting us know we are not completly ignored, like it seemed we have been the past year. Keep up the fixes and please get to the issues before all the CHs that have held off, leave.

Indeed, I posted this before JF gave us that Specials update, and I'd be happy to go back and delete this thread now that we have that explanation.
Elites working, information coming from the pros about what they're doing ... feels like a holiday!
