Thread: Can't Tame That one more time

Made MCH last night and went to Dath today today to try my luck with some high level taming. Made one tame, then on the second baby I came across, it attacked me. I did the normal run and when it quit attacking, I went back to its lair for another try. No go! Got the "You can't tame that" message. I tried traveling to another planet and logging out and back in - to no avail. Have not been able to tame anything on any planet today.
I have read several messages about this but seems like a lot of folk have good luck with crossing a server boundry or logging in/out. No luck here. Just wanted to confirm that I am going to have to wait for a server reset to fix this -- or does anyone have any other ideas?

Some creatures will not let you tame on the 1st go and will go for your throat.... it took me 8 tries to get my rep flyer with lots of "running for my life" :smileyhappy

probably the case that you have to logout and remain logged out long
enough for your character to actually unload from the server. That can
take quite a while, so simply logging out and logging back in might not
do the trick.

Okay...I am getting down right jealous! You have a supportive Dev that actually participates in your profession forum. Can the smuggler community borrow him for a bit? We will, eh...return him....honest...

JFreeman is the new "Live Lead Systems Designer" and it seems has just finished settling in (he's posted a lot in the smuggler forum already, and if I understand that title correctly means he is in charge of the upcoming smuggler content and the new CH attack changes, he may not code them himself but the people do will be reporting to him).
Basically we are all going to have to share him (I have a CH and a Smuggler and a DE so I've already had his input on three professions! 
)and I must say he is off to a FLYING start with his posting in his new role, some great quality posts and (most importantly imho) the above linked post that shows a greater level of openness than I've seen in a while and has given me (and others) a renewed hope after battling through the 17/18/19 issues.

or use the /logout command and after the 30s you wait to log out you get removed from the world right away.

Did you happen to notice the CL of the baby you were trying to tame? I've run into this on mission lairs where the babies were CL2-4 and I received the "you cannot tame this creature" message. Not sure if it is a bug as I find CL1s on other mission lairs.

You may need some BE taming clothes. For 65+ agro species babies you need them to tame and to just be able to call them.

JFreeman - Thank you very much for the post - I logout out overnight and this morning I was able to tame again.
Hehe - I think some other players were looking at me kind of strange as I was out of Mos Espa this AM to test the tame ability and I hit a scyk nest to bring out a baby -These two other newer players outside of town were looking at a level 80 MCH running back towards town as a level 1 baby tried to eat me for lunch - lol.
It's good to be able to tame again
