Well, that idea just came up as i wanted go to bed, 2 am here
What if at Novice CH you get a temporary taming slot, that allows you to hold and train/tame a pet, but not to store it (radial > tame/transfer/trade into temp slot, if traded and you have a full datapad, it goes automatically into the temp slot and gets called automatically, only works if you don't have a pet out).
With more CHs going down the river and only a few left that have a spare slot in the datapad to tame/train pets for non-CHs, this might be a way to train a pet for someone else and retransfer it back, even if you are full with rare pets. Make it so that you can only have the temp pet out, even if you are master CH. Until you transfer it back, you can't call any of your other pets and since you can't store the temp pet, you can't missuse the temp slot for anything else.

I think that is a wonderful idea. I personally turn down three or four mount requests everytime I log in, because I'm not willing to trust someone else with my rare tames. While more storage would be nice, it won't solve the problem. I know that I would just fill those slots up as well. Your suggestion seems like a vialbe option.

Good idea, and one that isnt too out of balance either. It would be strictly tame and release, ofcourse you would have to store any regular pets first however I would think, otherwise I can think of a few was the temp slot would be abused real fast. The idea of extra storage is real nice, but I;m not sure if it would ever come to be. We can wish though I guess.

Sounds like a neat idea to me.
With pet storage space at a premium like it is, an alternative to keeping one spot"free for training" would be pretty nice.

This is a great idea! Maybe Vertexon will have a chance to suggest this to the devs at the corresponent summit.

I'd be ahppy if they upped our storage to 50 pets at MCH. It's not like it would be unbalancing or anything, so why not?...

but I bet they'll like the idea!

I always thought a way to solve that problem would be to let a ch train pets in her group.
So, group with a ch and call your pet, then the ch can tame like normal without having to use the datapad at all.
Kind of like training skills for group members. When you group with them you get an option to train people so there may be some code there that would lend itself to training pets..

Excellent idea! We wouldn't have to worry aboutpeople requesting us to dump one of our beloved pets from our full datapad in order to turn them into mounts or learn tricks! Five stars for you!! I hope the developers read this, or considersomething similar.
Please keep staying up late, so you can come up with more brilliant ideas! (Just kidding, get your full night'ssleep to stay healthy!)

Vemp,
I mirror that this is a wonderful idea. I also hang my head in shame that this was not thought of before now (especially by me).
Now to the meat and potatoes. Why couldn't there be an option in the trade window itself? I cannot remember how it was done but doesn't one propose marriage with the ring in the trade window? If I am recalling things properly there was. If not why not institute it especially for CH, taming directly off the radial of an animal in the trade window.
This is one of the best ideas in the past year. Take if from someone who has presented many, you did well. I thank you for this brilliant observation.
