I did some testing of my own on regular Test Center, and don't appear to be losing vitality as a result of factional action. So at this point I'm hoping it is completely fixed. I can always use more eyes looking at this, though.

Okay, I have not had time to look into this in awhile. Last thing I knew pets still lost vitality in PvP, even though it was fixed prior to it breaking again.

Tonight I jumped on TC2 and hunted down a Jedi. After the second battle, I was killed. I asked him to Kill my pet to see if the vitality loss was still bugged. After he incapped my pet, which I believe is the same as deathblowing, as in PvE against a Deathblowing creature it counts as death,I then cloned. I looked at my datapad and my pet still had full vitality. I ran to my pet and did the Incap recovery option. He stood up and was perfectly fine.

I have been able to use the incap recovery once before on a pet. It was a PvE incap and death for me, after cloning I ran back to my pet and used this option. I however did not notice if he had lost vitality on that occasion as I was not paying attention, and just decided to attempt this option.

Vert, any information that vitality loss in PvP might be, well not fully fixed, but mostly fixed? Any information that this Incap Recovery was working correctly and that allowed my pet to not lose Vitality?

This was done on TC2-Eclipse.

I don't remember ever seeing corpse of for my pets. If they are incapped by a Deathblowing mob then they only showed the incap picture, but still lost vitality. Not sure for you though. But the Jedi did finish off my Rancor.

I rarely have my pets get incapped unless I am already down, as I tend to use /embolden on them so we can make a retreat.

Has anyone else seen a corpseicon next to their pets after they went down in battle?

Also any CH on Eclipse that could jump onto TC2 and check this out. Like Vert said we need some more eyes on this.

Since we have another week till Pub 10 hits, I hope they leave TC Eclipse up. I should get some additional time to check things out this week.

I don't think I have ever seen something like"corpse of (Fluffy)" for a pet named (Fluffy). Every time I have had a pet lose vitality (since vitality was first introduced), it looked just like a normal incap. The main exception being that the vitality number had decreaseda fewpoints when I opened up my Datapad and checked the PCD. I could use a stim to heal the pet back to its feet, etc.

Odd because I certainly have. My wasteland cu pa was my first pet death and gave me the corpse of statement. It really hurt to have my, at that time new, best friend die on me and it was very obvious when the DB occured like it is with a PC. This was justthree weeks ago and after the supposed vitality fix so perhaps this is new.

It seemed to me from the anecdotal evidence (including my own moderately hazy recollection) indicated that the vitality loss in PvP was connected with riflemen's special attacks. Has anyone been able to do some specific testing of getting their pets incapped on TC using rifleman sniper shots and strafe shots?

The time in which my pet lost vitality was to a Pistoleer who was not using any Rifleman specials.

They took away my TC.

I think Chilastra has it now. Any CH from there want to check this out?

How are things looking in live? Anyone had any experiences with pet's deaths in PvP? Any vitality losses? Sadly the patch notes make no mention of the fix, so we're left guessing whether it actually made it in.

Yes, if anyone is experiencing pet vitality loss as a result of factional combat now (after Publish 10 is live), please let me know so I can pass it along to the Devs.
