Thread: Help Best Pets for MCH
depends on how much time and patience you have.
if you want some easy to find good ones i'd go with the toxic merek battlelord, delirious merek avenger, and gaping spider recluse.
if you want a little more of a challenge for good pets, i'd suggest therhoa kwi pack leader.
but if you are up for a hunt so hardand so frustrating that you'll be begging for it to end, then go with the bull rancor, great plains stalker, arachne widow, or mantigrue screecher

If you can find a decent BE, 2 good level 35 gurrecks with high resists (like kinetic) and light armor, each with different specials are very nice. They are fast, damage resistant, and reliable in battle. Such extra fine BE creations don't come cheap though.
I have not found a single creature that I like as master yet. BE'd kimos are nice, but they are too big. It is hard to see what is going on with a big lizard ass in your way.
If you want to tame and raise them yourself, go Tivo's route, but have some good stims ready to keep them up and running.
I had to Holo CH and plan on keeping for a long time so I am looking for advice on the best pets at Master level.
Please remember these are your opinions, so don't flame others if you think your pick are better.
State the best one or two of Wild-tamable and BE pets.
I thank all in advance for you help and courtesy.

As a MCH, you would do best to put together this...
Set 1. PvE creature pet combo... 2 - 35 ish pets that addto 70 that have ar1 and 60 kinetic. It is nice if one of the 4 specials is knock down, to contain the creature. Other specials like blind and dizzy work too.
The above set will have little to no protection for humanoids. They will use the other damages, energy, blast restraint, heat, Electricity, stun, cold and acid. You can get one pet to cover all the above, and if you do, it will be high in level and will have reduced kinetic which will require more stims for creature fighting. The set 1 will also outdamage any single creature. Hitting for 700 combined or even 800.
Pay attention to vunerabilities... If it has one, the armor will be ignored for that type of attack.... pass the stims. Against creatures though, that is not a concern if they have a good kinetic.
With the above set 1, you need a mount to compliment it. I use a Brakeset, CL 31, ar1, 60 kinetic. I can ride it and a Gurreck can follow. Also, the Brackeset is tall enough to walk across most streams including those around Theed making travel faster. A Giant Carrion Spat can be used too, but would have no fighting or tanking capabilities and the levels created would compromise your defense or offense.
The 3 pet combo is not really possible without too many compromises.
What skin to use? A cat can keep up with a bike almost, a bird falls short also. Some skins like Mites, Grauls and such are really slow on hills. In my opinion, Cat is the way to go. They get on the target very quickly.
When a BE makes a pet, what drives up the CL needlessly is ham above 10k, damage and resist all. Armor adds about 10 levels. I have made CL 22-23 pets with 60 kinetic and hit for maybe 900 or more combined, but you use many more pet stims and all too often the pets damage is not the bulk of the damage. I think of the pet as something to keep the creature away from me, that is tough as Steel. 2 pets handle adds better.
PvP pets can be custom made, and I am not sure how effective they are. My son is a commando. I can make a pet that has resist most at 80 and still has high kinetic, but we have not yet done the duel. the pet would break into the 50's. Your enemy is going to have 80 % kinetic armor on and will not take much damage from your pet, Specials though will penetrate the armor like Strong poison, dizzy and such. have you specials auto on the attack.
I have heard that CH's cannot PvP, but I do not know. But what comes around, goes around. It was not the games intention to leave the CH out of the battle for the galaxie. They are just asleep at the wheel sometimes.
