Thread: BE to Novice CH question

I'm a BE and I'm trying to make L12-14 pets. Just would like some feedback on what you think constitutes a good L12/14 critter (in terms of HAM, resists etc...), for use as a novice CH up till you can handle a level 20-24 pet.

I used a rock beetle, which has armour and a ranged attack and is lvl 13

No creature in nature now has armor that is under CL 40.
On the Novice CH?... that is a difficult level. If you were to buy a pet when you were CL 12, by the time it was grown, you would be CL 16. At that level, if you use your pet for tanking, it will cost you a fortune in pet stims. So the best thing to do is get a Strong defense pet (kinetic) and quickly kill your target. If you fight with others, your pet, being the lowest, will be the tank and will die. The game has it now so that if another CH tames the pet, you can use it as it grows, till its CL is too high. THat is the way to go.
