Thread: Pet Guard Trouble

I'm running into a problem where my ch and non ch pets just stand there after being given the guard command. I've tried it on myself and another player both. If anyone gets a chance to run a quick test, i'm curious if its just me or is there a problem with pub 24. Guard worked fine for me yesterday.

I noticed that as well. (Although I didn't do extensive testing - I hadn't used guard for a long time and just assumed it was broken.)

Ok I jsut played for one hr, with various pets, but BE adn Natural.I was in a spin group with at least 4 jedi. I woudl wait for them to hit a target, see who was taking the most damadge, I would then put my pet on guard on them. What I found was:


on BE petsthat it took between one and three /tellpet's to have it click on, they would move to cover teh playerm adn proceed to attack what was attacking the player.


On Natural pets it took betwen 1-5 /tellpet's to have it click on, they would move to cover teh player and 70% of the time do nothing. If i were to pull them back to me, an re-tell teh guard command htey woudl do the above and begin attacking.


On both, if I changed guard targets, the pet would NOT change guard target, unless I put it away. If I called it back, adn re-aplied the command they would guard/not guard as above. if I swichted guard targets they would return to teh original guard target.


some of this might be attributed to latencey/lag, but not all of it. I still want to test more, but it is deffinetly not working s it was before. Post more when I have more chance to test it.
