Thread: Returning MCH... Where to start?
Looks like your pretty up to date on the info, since the question is where to start my advice would be, get rid of a few pets make room for the lil babies, dont dump evrything you have hehe. then hit correlia, naboo, and tatooine for the lowest level cl creatures with level oneabilities you can find and grind em up till you learn the skills. then dump em and rinse/repeat.
Thats about it to get you started, a mistake too many people make is filling datapad with upper level skilled pets and the time required to learn them can be extreme (Unless your a macro grinder).
Soon they realise they're datapads almost full and they have no room for anything else they want to keep, just higher skilled disposable pets taking space up untill they have the time to learn them. I know of several people this has happened to. Dumping the pets to only find they cant find a replacement when ready.

I started out by emptying out my datapad when the Revamp hit, but I was in a slightly different situation than you.
I started CH on this char after the CU, and the pets I was most attached to were uncallable due to some bug I never got resolved (not because of level, they were CL20-40, the datapad just offered "store" and no "call") for over a month, so I basically had no choice.
You don't really need more than 3 free places to learn abilities, tame 3 babies with new L1 abilities, and hunt with them together. When they taught you their little trick, send them back to the wild with some snacks, after all, they helped you a lot
Then refill the places again with new babies.
One thing you need to know, all pets from before the CH revamp have one less abilityslot than an identical pet from after.
No idea why, this is in my opinion the most stupid part of the revamp.
About rare pets ... I have different experiences than the old CHs here. So far I have been completely unable to find a GPS baby, even after several hundred spawns, and was also unlucky searching for a bluurg raptor, though I invested less time in finding that.
I'd recommend keeping the pets you consider "rare" until you actually find a replacement.
And above all, have fun. If you find you get sick of "the grind", then ... don't. Do something with your pets you find is fun, they are quite capable without leveling them up.
Don't fall into the trap of macroing yourself a levelled pet, my guess would be you have no connection to it afterwards. I levelled my Kimo while doing fun stuff with my guild, and I just adore the little sucker.
