Thread: CH grind
As with almost any elite profession these days, if you get into a group (especially a good group) you can master the profession in practically no time at all. CH is no different. I spent just under 7 hours one day in a "spin" group and went from novice to master CH. Seems a bit fast to me, but thats how most people in game apparently like it. Grinding it out solo will take alot longer, just depends wether you want to "grind" or enjoy the trip to master.

I just started a few days ago, its not bad. I've done one Dantooine group (EXTREMELY fast xp gain), some solo grinding with a VERY low level pet ungrouped (painfully slow), and now I surrendered MBH to make myself CL60, and I'm using a combat R2, a Rebel Senior SpecForce Marine and a pet in a group. Running about 2000 points per kills (4083 xp, split with Pistol/Carbine xp).
Currently 0112.
May be I am wrong ..But I dont look at CH as a grind rather that a way of life..
I am almost master of Ranger little more to max the master box and 4334 CH and medic 0440 it all makes for a CL 80 when done ..
I solo all the time and seldom group with anyone. It is not how fast but how well you learn to adjust your pets to the environment to me ..
I am a Wook so I use an assault bowcastewr for weapon when I need it .. I got 2 Bio pets a CL29 Vesp and a CL 17 Razor cat that chews thru CL69 mobs when grouped as fast as I could want them too. I throw a couple traps to reduce there armour and attack resist and make them stun and dizzy and Got Imperialing Fient 1 on both and a couple more skills I picked up along the way to give them HP and increased damage .
This is fun when you get doen with a few missions .. Build a high tech field base and make traps and a few camos and another HT camp and call it a play session. You are ready for the next time. I been playing mabe 2 or 3 months and have learned the skills very well .
But the biggest thing I learned is DONT GRIND hehe . Play and have fun and the levels come with it. Plus you learn things about your proffesion no matter what it is that you would not other wise understand.
Just a thought from an old dude who sleeps on the couch and watches to much TV and drinks way to much beer.
Well, from my own personal experience, it took mea month to get from Novice CH to MCH, at around 20-30 hours a week of playing. So probably around 2 weeks with double xp. And that was solo, so I'm sure it can be done faster.
