Well definately a bug there, so we cant really say much about the XP until we can see the rates. Im going to take a wild guess that they will be more or less the same for most professions... around 1.5k to 2.5k XP per kill depending on mob level against yours. Now the question is if the XP will be divided (like it does with weapon and med xp) if you use your own weapons to help your pet.

I am going to postulate that these requirements are to reflect the increased viability of CH in combat. I have said it to the Devs and their footmen before....I would gladly use ALL my points to be useful again. Were I not MCH already I would STILL gladly pay these xp points to be where I am.

Considering on TC you get 400 xp for a level 7 creature, whereas currently on Live, I get around 110-130 xp for a level 25-45 creature command train, that's a sizable increase in XP gained. The increase in XP for skills would make sense if they increased the XP gained for taming and training.

Good grief, and I thought the 2 months it took me to master by using 2 pets for more XP, no nerfed level curve, and no generally nerfed XP were harsh....

If both XP requirements and XP gains are higher, is progression actually slower? And haven't GPS always been aggro?

Wow, I guess I better get to grinding as much as possible before this goes live.

And Vert... I'm not a math wiz, so I don't know what the ratio is pre-CU comparted to post-CU, but increased XP gain for increased XP requirements could still take longer, if the post-CU nerf is a larger ratio of XP gained per XP needed than it was pre-CU.

ya, but by the same token, it could easily take a shorter amount of time.

There's realy no way of knowing, so all this doom-saying is pointless and silly.

**EDIT**

Ratio's aside, the new XP requirement are less or the same as XP requirement for the "regluar" combat profs. And from whats been posted on the patch notes creaure XP should be aquired closer to the same rate as said profs.

Not to mention that as of now XP for taming training a level 7 creature has been multiplied by 4. And form what I understand this is scaled by the creatures level.

The million for master alone is a million more than right now. So of course it is higher, and as I have said over and over if they match abilities with the requirements I have no problem dealing with it. even if I had to gain that xp.

ok when atm the training and taming of a vynock at novice CH level is about 400 out of 17500, that means it takes about 44 of them to gain one skill thats in live. Now we take the 1600 xp out of 150k it takes about 94 tames. This is an outrage because it is 10 MORE than double the current rate. Now consider doing creature handler at those rates . And thats only at novice creature handler. This is one stupid increase of xp required. I'm afraid thisWILL kill off many of the new creature handlers that are not completely dedicated to becoming master. Get ready, our numbers are about to be cut big time and I wouldn't expect many new creature handlers made from noobies Post-CU. It'll scare off to-be CH noobs. This is one sad day for CHs everywhere .

GPS and Gurrecks were always non-aggro...ie. yellow on the overhead map. Many other changes not just to CH.....corellian swoops are now yellow and non-aggro except when faction goes against you.

The other change to GPS is the lowering of their cl, they are back to cl23 so 3 out at once is again possible =)
