I have enough xp to respec to novice CH with enough to place into one box in the first row. I'm looking for advice on which box I should take that will give me a good start.

Get the box that lets you group pets so they can take on your CL and fight alongside you if your high CL.

Well, if your doing missions for XP, then you'll still probably need the group command to help out your pets. After that, aim for more storage space and vicious taming mods.
