Hello, I just received Novice Creature Handler.

Could someone tell me a good Baby Pet I could tame at my level of CH?

Thanks.

Only through using the fourm search and stickies can you gain a power greater than any noob.

at this point in the game all the creatures are pretty much the same, with different skins. You can train CL12 or lower pets at Novice CH. When I was Novice CH I found most of my pets on Talus or Rori, you can usually find pets right at CL 12 or CL10 here. At Novice CH there really isnt just one great pet, so tame as many as you can for XP, train them for XP, then keep them or discard them after you play with them for a bit to see what you like.

Check out swgcreatures.com. It's a gold mine of information. In particular, check out the Search function. Advanced Search gives you the ability to filter the site's database using a huge array of variables, including searching for a specific level or a range of levels less than or greater than a specified level. You can filter your query to give you a list from a specific planet or several planets, search for only creatures that are known to have babies, or are mountable, or are aggressive, and many, many more.

In general, you'll find that you have a hard time taming or training babies close to your max level at first. So for XP purposes, you may want to start out taming a few very low-level creatures at first, such as dwarf nunas. One popular "newbie" tame is a female kaadu, which is exactly level-12. I look on those as sort of an "initiation" pet for Novice CH's. They're fun pets and a good mark of distinction for an up-and-coming tamer.
