The Character Copy thing is very interesting, so I looked into it. You don't get to take anything with you. At all. Which for most professions isn't much of a problem, but what CH would abandon all their pets? Yes, you could tame more, but how long would that take you?Would be just as easyto grind up another character...

welcome to last week. there's no reason to use it at ALL anyway. you're paying $30.00 USD for the right to move something that could easily be replicated on another server in a week of grinding and a cross-server credit transfer.
it's a completely useless feature that's only there to shut people up.

The only profession that might be useful for are the jedis... Welcome to Star Wars Jedi Galaxies.

hmm, doesn't this actuallu work out BEST for CH?
How many other classes can stroll onto any planet, and 'pick up' their weapons, litterally finding them in the wild?
now dancers and ID can come a close second, though not having their buff clothing may be a negative effect.

If a week of your time is only worth $30, I might have some work for you...

This transfer thing sounded good, until I saw that you lose everything in the process. Too bad, this is the main reason I dont want to transfer my character to Radiant

The BEST reason to use this seems to not be apparent. Consolidating accounts. If your friend gave you his new coffee coaster accounts. Then you could transfer his hard worked character and only pay 30 bucks rather than work it up yourself.
The Example
You have an MCH on Starstrider. Your friend played on Bria. He had a MCH. You want to have fun at the BEAST meetings. You do not want to pay 30 bucks a month for 2 accounts. You transfer his MCH crossed account and VIOLA! You pay 15 bucks a month instead of 30.

30 bucks is a high price to pay for laziness. a credit and equipment transfer and i could grind up to mch in a couple of days.

lol. So you run to the creek to save 30-100 bucks on a water bill a month?
I am just saying that consolidating two different accounts remains the one viable reason to use this. The other reasons far outweigh why I would use it. If there were 8 character slots per server I would transfer many charcters to one account. SOE could then make 90+ bucks that they are'nt having now because my other 3 accounts are still closed.
Unfortunately, I do agree I have no reason to do this.
