Since CH can't deed pets, making money seems to ever be a challenge, any good tips for CH's needing to make that little bit of profit while enjoying their profession?

You gave very little information.

What level CH are you? Anything below master and you will not find much money training.

Can you train mounts yet? If you are master carry 2-4 mounts at all times below CL 10 of course. Spats, dewbacks and lesser bols are always nice.

Other than that, as talon said try something else like buffing as a Doc.

As another old timer. There is really no way to make much money as a CH. Training is more hassle than it is worth and you usually do not get tipped. Mounts are not in great demand and the time spent spamming them for sale could be better spent running missions. Depending on you skills, you will make far more running missions and harvesting meat than you will trying to sell pets. It is one of the CH's problems. The Dev's seem intent on making us totally useless and they have succeded. Mounts were replaced with vehicles, non-ch handler pets were replaced by BE pets, and since they Nerffed all the Creatures and changed the Skill Tree to prevent "Dabbling".... there is no market for CH pets either.

I figured that was the case hmm good thing I can still sell hides and bone :/

you can make a little money as a CH but its almost always from mounts. as pluto said earlier try and keep a few non-ch mounts on you and spam for their sale on the auction channel whilst your run missions or do something else, also whilst your in a buff queue or waiting for a shuttle spam in spatial, you may get lucky.

its very little profit imafraid tho, you'll have the pets in your pad for about a week and then only be able to sell them for a few K, BE'd pets tend to sell for a lot more but also require you to buy the deed 1st so your still looking at the same profit margin.
