Hi all,

I really don't know where to start but I was wondering somethings and I thought I would put it out as a questionare, hopefully I won't get banned by the ever lovin Jedi Moderator/Devs.

Question 1) Did you buy Star Wars with the intention of becoming a Jedi?

Question 2) Have you become a Jedi?

Question 3) IF you have decided to become a Jedi, how many professions have you hologround?

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi?

Question 4) If you did not buy the game to become a Jedi, have you started down that path now?

Question 5) If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live?

Question 6) If you are not a Jedi, do you ever intend on becoming a Jedi?

Question 7) Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other profession or empowering their own?

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame?

Question 8) Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists?

Question 9) Should BE's be able to sample Krayts and Kimos etc, in order to make 1 level 120 pet that we can control in order to stomp out the Jedi? This is supposed to be the time when Rebels and Jedi are like scared rabbits not, proliferating like womp rats on a dead bantha carcass.

Question 10) If you had a quest or the ability to have one Jedi stomping pet, How many of you would be hunting Jedi today?

Question 11) How many of you wish there had never been Jedi introduced into the game?

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

Question 1) Did you buy Star Wars with the intention of becoming a Jedi?

No, bought it because of the character flexibility.

Question 2) Have you become a Jedi?

No.

Question 3) IF you have decided to become a Jedi, how many professions have you hologround?

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi?

14 on one character but quit when it when hologrinding was introduced

Question 4) If you did not buy the game to become a Jedi, have you started down that path now?

No

Question 5) If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live?

No

Question 6) If you are not a Jedi, do you ever intend on becoming a Jedi?

Probably not.

Question 7) Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful

Yes

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other profession or empowering their own?

Yes

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame?

Too many and the path was too lame.

Question 8) Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists?

Yes

Question 9) Should BE's be able to sample Krayts and Kimos etc, in order to make 1 level 120 pet that we can control in order to stomp out the Jedi? This is supposed to be the time when Rebels and Jedi are like scared rabbits not, proliferating like womp rats on a dead bantha carcass.

No

Question 10) If you had a quest or the ability to have one Jedi stomping pet, How many of you would be hunting Jedi today?

Not me but I would tame the pet anyway. lol

I do not care if there are Jedi but I liked it better when BH kept them under wraps for the most part.

Questions 1-6: No

Question 7) Since when did "grinding" become content? And even though jedi seem powerful, if all the other professions were fixed, the playing field might be a bit more even. Also, you still need to be a combat profession to get jedi, and that is not what we were promised...

Question 8) Nothing in the game being resistant to lightsaber is a clear example of how the dev's treat jedi as the "end game" and those of us who don't give a &^$*%^ about becoming jedi as people who should be playing a different game.

Question 9) Having a pet that is resistant to force powers would have so many jedi screaming bloody murder that even if we got it, they would patch it out within 2 days...

Question 10) I don't hunt people. Period. (note: unless they're jerks)

Question 11) This is a tough one. We should have jedi, they're the core of the saga. Having said that, I do not believe they should be the end goal of everyone who plays. The devs think they should be, and are ignoring the rest of us as a result. If everyone's out levelling their jedi, who's making brandy and buffpacks? Nobody should be forced to get jedi just to get a profession that works, or is competitive.

Question 1) Did you buy Star Wars with the intention of becoming a Jedi?

No , not at all.

Question 2) Have you become a Jedi?

Nope

Question 3) IF you have decided to become a Jedi, how many professions have you hologround?

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi?

On Bria I was a BH, then when euro servers launched (I live in the UK) I joined Farstar, Been master CH/Rifles ever since. Mastered just 3 profs since november(Marksman being the third). No holos, Never even opened one, Mychristmas one still sits as a house decoration.I have 70ish Badges, but from playing the game and having fun. None just to get Jedi.

Question 4) If you did not buy the game to become a Jedi, have you started down that path now?

Never opened a Holo, so no. I play on test center a fair amount too, have 3 toons there ,my TKM/MS is now going through the village quests for testing. As close as Ive got.

Question 5) If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live?

Having done the testing, the quests and village in general is very nice content. I will take my Main through those, as its fun.

Question 6) If you are not a Jedi, do you ever intend on becoming a Jedi?

Will do the quests as Ive said, but how far I go, not too sure. Having tested low level jedi for pub 9 (novice saber) , I know how dull and repetitive it is at that level.

I do not suffer from saber envy

Question 7) Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful That is difficult to answer , as numbers of Jedi in game affect whether they are overpowering in both PvP and PvE. Should numbers start to increase dramatically then power will HAVE to be significantly reduced to compensate.

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other profession or empowering their own?Again difficult, Hologrinding was a huge mistake for the game, had it continued it would surely have killed it. So , really, the 2 publishes were necessary, and really they were one publish split into 2. Removal of saber tef for the whiners was one of the games biggest mistakes though.

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame? What I have seen of Pub 10 will cure most of these things. My opinion of hiologrinding has been stated above.

Question 8) Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists? We should have one pet available that is lightsaber resistant. That could be the one thing that can reintroduce CH to the GCW.It would have to have fairly high damage output too, and perhaps many vulnerabilities to other damage for balance. Lightsaber resisits should be unique to that pet alone.

Question 9) Should BE's be able to sample Krayts and Kimos etc, in order to make 1 level 120 pet that we can control in order to stomp out the Jedi? This is supposed to be the time when Rebels and Jedi are like scared rabbits not, proliferating like womp rats on a dead bantha carcass.120 is over the top and would lead to nerf calls again. 100 would be a psychological level that perhaps wouldnt attract so much attention. See above post for my idea on the pet.

Question 10) If you had a quest or the ability to have one Jedi stomping pet, How many of you would be hunting Jedi today?definately. Any extra content is a good thing. A quest would be a great gift to our profession.

Question 11) How many of you wish there had never been Jedi introduced into the game?
Moot point. they are here.

Question 1) Did you buy Star Wars with the intention of becoming a Jedi? No.

Question 2) Have you become a Jedi? No.

Question 3) IF you have decided to become a Jedi, how many professions have you hologround?

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi?

Question 4) If you did not buy the game to become a Jedi, have you started down that path now? No.

Question 5) If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live? No.

Question 6) If you are not a Jedi, do you ever intend on becoming a Jedi? No.

Question 7) Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other profession or empowering their own?

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame? D) the have been given too much attention, not so much in the way of nerfs or empowering them, I want jedis to be powerful, but balanced with other professions, and they have been introduced way too soon, we are still playing between episode 4 and episode 5, Luke Skywalker who is the biggest threat to the empire is nothing more then a padawan, so why should players be allowed to be more powerful then him.

Question 8) Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists? No and No, Jedis should have an edge in damage type, but shouldn't be allowed to outdamage other professions.

No. i would much rather get the max control level raised by 5 or 10 and give us more storage space, them add some pets that are worth using in pvp.

Question 10) If you had a quest or the ability to have one Jedi stomping pet, How many of you would be hunting Jedi today? i don't pvp unless i'm forced to.

Question 11) How many of you wish there had never been Jedi introduced into the game? Jedi are an important part of Star Wars, but i think JTL is alot more important, Jedis just have been introdused at the wrong time, and using the wrong system.

For the sake of interest the questions I have posed probably are not the clearest even in my mind and probably don't state clearly what I feel. They are however some of the questions that I ask myself over and over and over again.

I would love to be able to have 1 pet, like a krayt dragon, that is light saber resistant and I could ride.

I don't like Jedi's, end of story.

I am working on my BH for the simple expediency of more efficiently hunting them down whenI can. I don't have anything personally against Jedi, it's that I just don't like the whole concept of what Jedi has done to the game in general. There are two kinds of Jedi's that I like, those that are not and those that are in the cloning station.

If you have other comments that you would like to add feel free. Or if you just need to flame someone well, I got my asbestos suit home from the drycleaners yesterday.

Did you buy Star Wars with the intention of becoming a Jedi?
Not the express intention. I have tried numerous professions and would like to see what Jedi is like as well.

Have you become a Jedi?
No.

IF you have decided to become a Jedi, how many professions have you hologround?
None specifically. I had already done two of my professions by the time I opened my first holocron. My other two were professions I wanted to try anyways. When I did all the other professions I was interested in, I settled in to my "final" build.

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi?
None. I love collecting badges, but I have had the all of my 77+ for months now. (I've been too distracted to get the racing or hero badges.)

If you did not buy the game to become a Jedi, have you started down that path now?
Yes, where it did not conflict with my regular enjoyment of the game.

If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live?
Yes, and the second character.

Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful
It depends in what context. Until the Combat Revamp, the entire system is screwy.

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other profession or empowering their own?
I feel your are mistaken that Jedi were empowered. They have been hit pretty hard in comparison to other professions in relative terms. Your bias is obviously showing in this question. Remeber, CH also received a lot of attention early on. We may not have liked the attention, but we did receive it. More than any other profession.

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame?
The initial path certainly was a mistake. The new one, meh. I don't think the timing was bad, or the numbers because many people want to be one. The implementation was pathetic though.

Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists?
No, on all accounts. Then again, I don't think there should be much PvP interaction between them. Keep the Jedi separate and hidden.

Should BE's be able to sample Krayts and Kimos etc, in order to make 1 level 120 pet that we can control in order to stomp out the Jedi? This is supposed to be the time when Rebels and Jedi are like scared rabbits not, proliferating like womp rats on a dead bantha carcass.
No, the Jedi should be controlled through other means. Giving us some insanely powerful pet isn't going to result in Jedi hunters, it's going to result in PvE game inbalances.

If you had a quest or the ability to have one Jedi stomping pet, How many of you would be hunting Jedi today?
I have no desire to attack or hunt another player, including Jedi. Ruining someone else's day is not something I consider fun and I do not think too highly of people that do.

How many of you wish there had never been Jedi introduced into the game?
That might have been for the best, but they are there and there is no chance they would have not put them there.

1 - No i bought it to play inside the Star Wars Universe, not to actually aim to change it.

2 - No i am not a Jedi.

3 - I have a few badges and professions.

4 - No i have not Hologrinded.

5 - I may consider taking some Force Sensitive boxes if they are relevant to CH.

6 - No i do not want to be a Jedi.

7 - A B C are all valid and i agree with all.

8 - Every Profession needs benefits and weaknesses. Our pets need LS resist?? our pets cant even kill or hurt a novice brawler so a Jedi is a bit far fetched.

9 - I do not like BE pets apart from Kimo (as its the only way to get it), i prefer pure wildtameable pets.

10 - If CH pets were improved you would see more combat and PvP driven CHs, and Jedi conflict is inevitable as they totally dominate every aspect of the present game.

11 - Jedi as playable characters was a mistake. It works only for the Wallet of Mr SOE. It attracts the Single Player 3d shooter type of kids who want to fight others.

Jedi vs Jedi fights arent even spectacular, no saber fizzle effects or Saber vs saber Blocks. It is too over the top.

Jedi can solo Krayts.... ... how can any man sized creature hurt/kill a creature that could swallow/pick up/crush a man whole despite being in armor or *buffed*.

It is far from realistic even for the SW universe.

Question 1) Did you buy Star Wars with the intention of becoming a Jedi? No

Question 2) Have you become a Jedi? No

Question 3) IF you have decided to become a Jedi, how many professions have you hologround?

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi? NA

Question 4) If you did not buy the game to become a Jedi, have you started down that path now? No

Question 5) If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live? maybe. I may just look for a different game.

Question 6) If you are not a Jedi, do you ever intend on becoming a Jedi? I don't believe the game will be around long enough.

Question 7) Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other profession or empowering their own? Jedi camping starports is a sure fire way to kill off PvP for those people that have created a role playing combat template that is not a jedi.

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame? SOE had no clear concept of the jedi profession when they released the game. Seemingly they still have no clear concept of jedi.

Question 8) Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists? Yes. Watto the Toydarian was immune to the jedi hand wave.

The BE coding won't allow this. BE's would take those krayt and kimo sample and mix them with something lower like a bark mite borrower queen and make a CL50 monstrocity.

Question 10) If you had a quest or the ability to have one Jedi stomping pet, How many of you would be hunting Jedi today? If jedi permadeathed as advertised I could see this being beneficial. As it is now hunting jedi is a non-issue.

Question 11) How many of you wish there had never been Jedi introduced into the game? Jedi is a part of the star wars environment. It may have been better if jedi were NPC's that had an AI which allowed them to interact with the community. Regardless, its too late now.

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi?

Question 4) If you did not buy the game to become a Jedi, have you started down that path now? Nope, the only reason I might is to get the 2nd character

Question 5) If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live? Not sure I need something to do

Question 6) If you are not a Jedi, do you ever intend on becoming a Jedi? Not sure I need something to do

Question 7) Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful Too powerful yes and no. Yes they are seeing that they are still players, but they tend to hold with SW lore

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other profession or empowering their own?Hell Yes!!!!

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame?Hell Yes!!!! I can't even take a shuttle without seeing one now

Question 8) Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists?Hell Yes!!!! Jedi should not be the be all end all of this game. BTW Cortis ore, Discovered in the sith wars. 100% resistant to lightsabers and shorts them out as well makeing the owner have to turn them back on. So much for the dev's much touted continuity issues, oh wait they killed that with SBD's and BD's

And Vader should be hunting down these jedi (both light and dark) and killing them. The more jedi play the larger the chance that Vader Tracks them down. As for why he would track down a dark jedi, There are only 2 sith, the master and the student. You think Vader wants to be replaced?

Very nice questionaire.

1 - 5: no

6. Probably not

7a. No (except bring back perma-death, tef for using skills where others can see)

b. Yes!

c. Yes - except don't know enough about path - no opinion.

8. No to Master professions having lightsaber resists. Yes to some pets having resistsl.

9. No.

10. Definitely me. Giving serious thought to starting BH profession on another server.

11. Jedi should be in the game as long as there is a way to keep things balanced in GCW/PvP, i.e. get BH profession working the way it should be. I probably will never become a Jedi, but "current time line" not withstanding, you can't have Star Wars without Jedi.

Question 1) Did you buy Star Wars with the intention of becoming a Jedi? No

Question 2) Have you become a Jedi? No

Question 3) IF you have decided to become a Jedi, how many professions have you hologround? I have Doc, Medic, Brawler, Pike, Swordsman, Creature Handler but not for profession grinding

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi? N/A

Question 4) If you did not buy the game to become a Jedi, have you started down that path now? No advertanly

Question 5) If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live? Nope, FS maybe, but not Jedi

Question 6) If you are not a Jedi, do you ever intend on becoming a Jedi? Not considering it at this time, but never know where the fates might take ya.

Question 7) Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful To a degree in some parts

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other profession or empowering their own? This I will agree with, and disagree with. I feel they should have rebalanced everyone else before working on Jedi, but I will go under the assumption that they are probably trying to balance the top end profession aka jedi so that the others have a base line to follow. who knows at this point.

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame? Honestly, I feel that Jedi should not have been avaliable till the combat rebalance was finalized. Then it would have worked a bit smoother.

Question 8) Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists? No, nothing really had a lightsaber resistance in the movies or books, with the exception of shield generators.

Question 9) Should BE's be able to sample Krayts and Kimos etc, in order to make 1 level 120 pet that we can control in order to stomp out the Jedi? I feel that Creature Handlers should have a higher CL control ability than 70. Granted, some creatures should not be able to be tamed, and the older Krayts fall into that catagory, but I do not see the problem with us being able to tame lower end krayts.

Question 10) If you had a quest or the ability to have one Jedi stomping pet, How many of you would be hunting Jedi today? No, I came onto this game to be a creature handler, not a bounty hunter. No where in my discription said I had to go forth and kill force weilding ego maniacs.

Question 11) How many of you wish there had never been Jedi introduced into the game? Introduced, yes. But should have waited till the combat rebalance, and should have limited the number of jedi per server.

How many badges have you earned simply in the hope of becoming a Jedi?

haven't bothered with it, as i've no intention of becoming a jedi

no

Question 5) If you are not a Jedi, is it your intention to pursue that once publish 10 goes live?

no

no

Question 7) Do you believe that a) Jedi are too powerful jedi are supposed to be powerful, that's why they were feared by the dregs of the galaxy

b) Jedi have been given too much attention in game in the way of nerfs to other yes

profession or empowering their own?

c) Jedi were introduced to early, too many, and the path is too lame? yes, shoulda been an expansion, imho

Question 8) Should every combat profession, upon Master, have Jedi resists, lightsaber resist etc. Should our high end pets have lightsaber resists? no

Question 9) Should BE's be able to sample Krayts and Kimos etc, in order to make 1 level 120 pet that we can control in order to stomp out the Jedi? This is supposed to be the time when Rebels and Jedi are like scared rabbits not, proliferating like womp rats on a dead bantha carcass. i just want a good pet that'll let me pvp (besides, a jedi wouldn't run scared, there is no fear, only the force)

Question 10) If you had a quest or the ability to have one Jedi stomping pet, How many of you would be hunting Jedi today? no, i don't hunt people unless i'm pvp'ing, which is extremely rare, see question 9 above

Question 11) How many of you wish there had never been Jedi introduced into the game?

don't think they shouldn't have been introduced, but definitely should be a cap of some kind to keep them from proliferating like rabbits. I don't mind that everyone can be a jedi, but i'd put in a time limit of some kind that a person can play their jedi to help keep the number low, as it should be in this era. If SOE wants a game with a lot of jedi, they can create one in the pre-clone wars era.
