I'm on Talus trying to add one of these cats to my stable. The POI for that town has plenty of adults. Are babies known for spawning there?

I've never seen a baby GSP in Durbin, the "panther town".
You should try the swampy area SE of Dearic about 2.5k out. Sludge panthers like the sludge!

i found all 3 of the ones i have tamed by just wandering around on talus ... from wild nests ... i don't recall the city name .. it is the city that comes up by default when you go to buy a ticket ... i traveled about 6k max from that city ... i think i found them mostly about 3 to 4k from the city max ...

SUCCESS!!!
Thanks for the tips. Ran across Talus on foot, killed many mites. Finally came to Dearic. Went about 2200 meters out. First came across the lesser of the species, the Famished Sludge Panther. Figured "what the heck". Tamed one. Went another 1200 meters out, looking intently at my radar. Kept seeing yellow dots. Torturs, pirates, mites, no cats. Then it hit me. . .the GSP is NOT aggressive(strange, when you figure it's lesser cousin, the FSP is). Retraced my route, Tabbing through the Yellow signatures on my HUD. Sure enough, I had ran past 2 adult GSPs. No babies. Rifled them. Waited. 2 more adults spawned. Slew them. Waited. One more fell to my rifle. Waited. . .waited. . .waited. Then the next signature appeared on my radar and there it was, a Great Plains Stalker(baby). Tamed it on the first try and headed back to Dearic. Sorry to bore you with my safari. Thanks for the advice or would have wasted time at that abandoned town.

I think you mean Great Sludge Panther...cause if you got a Great Plains Stalker off a GSP static spawn, there's a major bug here.
either way, gratz.

I've tamed about 8 different GSP. All found within 2k of Dearic.

Just tamed 2 within a few seconds of each other. Prize pets for me at the moment!
Just wondering what to name them.
