Thread: Pet training question
For now I only plan on going 1100 in CH. For that spec I can only teach my pet four commands.
However, is it possible to transfer the pet to a MCH and have them teach it the rest of the commands (for a small fee of course) and have them transfer the pet back, or does the MCH have to be the one to initially train (capture) the pet?
The MCHis the one who needs to train the pet first: a pet without the transfer command can not be traded (aside from non-aggro lvl 15 pets but they plan to change that in an upcoming patch).
To be exact, an MCH is not needed, just someone who has x,x,x,4 as skills.
but I believe YOU personally can learn the L2 ability even if YOU don't already know the L1 ability... you just can't teach a L2 ability to your pets until you've taught your pets the L1 version of it first.
Or am I way off?
For example: I tamed a thune with a L3 ability the other day. I don't know the L1 or L2 of that particular ability yet myself, but I think I can still end up learning that L3 (without knowing L1 or 2) from that thune anyway. I just can't teach it to a pet of mine unless the PET knows L1 and L2 of that said ability.
Please correct me if I'm wrong! ![]()

This is correct. I, myself have several L2 abilities for which I need to find the L1 version before I can teach them to any of my pets.
